Backstory:

Tyrane had it good. Foot Ball Star. Lead String Quarterback in High School. ROTC. A job on the weekends at the local shooting range (Mostly loading shelves and collecting brass)​

That ended when his school blew up. Terror attack. "The 42" He was at an away game. His girlfriend Michelle was in the gym practicing (she was Gymnastics Captain). From the police reports 42 schools across America were targeted. Most of them small towns.​

He signed papers as soon as he could. He’d always wanted to be military, like his grandfather, and his great-grandfather. His father was a farmer, blown out knee from construction accident. But his uncle was a Marine.​

​

He graduated wearing his Uniform, walked from the ceremony to the Marine Bus, and never looked back.​

Sniper, Marksman, C.Q.C.,Hand to Hand, Medic training. He was acceptable with computers as well. He’d started looking at going Ghost Operations. (CIA and such) when the Space Force Command tagged him for an experiment.​

Psychiatric Report:

Although Collins’ aggressive nature is not outside of norms his attack posture when dealing with Terrorist units is enhanced. Most of his hand to hand kills have been deemed unnecessary and he could have subdued the targets. It is noted that he does subdue and restrain women and children when possible.​

Tyrande Collins unit wiped out on multiple occasions with him as an only survivor. Sat Comm has verified after action reports and has not found any cause for discipline of Mr. Collins. Psychiatric evaluation has determined he suffers from P.T.S.D. and Survivor’s Guilt. Removing Mr. Collins from Tactical Combat is not advised as it allows him an outlet for his aggression.​

Personality
Flirty with the wrong people. Tends to get attracted to the bad boys/girls. Really likes goth girls and biker guys. or anyone in a uniform. RAWR!! Gets used by them for her smarts and skills. In bed and computer.

Backstory
Top of her class. Straight A’s. Fast track to MIT, early enrollment. Pre certification classes. Hell she was taking classes on line she shouldn’t have had access to, except she hacked the system.

Then she made a few mistakes. She hacked the wrong site. Read some files she should never have known existed. Got tagged and woke up in a cell in the middle of fuck no where.

The gun on the table. The hand cuffs holding her to the floor mounted table and she knew she was fucked.

Option one: Agree to an experiment. Get out of it and join some people she never wanted to meet.

Option two: …..

She picked option 1.

Motivation: Survival.

Alice Walker

• Captain, US Space Force; most senior member of the USSF members.
• Former Astronaut; her experience hasn't yet been spoken of, but she had been in space at some point.

Description:

• Age 32 (at the start of the RP).
• Image
• 5'6", 124#; 34B-25-35; fit, muscular even.
• Dark brunette, wavy hair down onto her shoulders.
• Light brown eyes that sometimes show a bit of hazel.
• Tattoo on her shoulder:
  • Latin phrase, mori quam foedari, translate roughly to "Death Before Dishonor".
  • The tattoo memorialized a Marine Unit that came to her Air Force unit's rescue during a terrorist ambush and took heavy casualties. (More below in "about her".)

About her:

• Only child from a typical middle-class family.
• Always wanted was to be an astronaut and go to Mars.
• Excelled in STEM; attended numerous science, math, and space exploration camps.
• Graduated high school at 16.
• Had 2 bachelor's degrees at 19.
• Entered the Air Force Academy; graduated with honors and both her third bachelor's and first master's degrees.
• Deployed to Dubai:
  • Her unit was attacked overwhelmingly by an ISIS affiliate.
  • A Marine unit came to their rescue and took heavily casualties.
  • To memorialize the Marine unit, she tattooed her right shoulder with their unit tattoo. (See "Description" above.)
• Joined NASA at 24; at 26 was the youngest astronaut to do a tour on the ISS.
• Joined the Mission to Mars Program at 28.
• Joined the Deep Space Exploration and Settlement Project at 29, which she mistakenly thought meant she would be on the first manned mission to Europa.
• Unsuccessfully sought reinstatement to the Mission to Mars.
• She entered stasis 3 times: 1 month, 3 months, and 9 months -- oh wait, no, that was 114 years, 44 days, 11 hours, and 19 minutes ... oops!
• She was 32 years old when she entered stasis the last time.

Romance and Sex:

• Her first sexual interactions came in her mid-teens with other women; exploration more than preference.
• Didn't lose her virginity to a male until she was 22.
• Most of her lovers have been male, perhaps 3-1.
• After reanimation in the bunker, she was horny as hell, but -- so far -- she has resisted interacting sexually with other Stiffs because of the potential awkwardness of living in close quarters with a former lover.

History in the bunker:

• Day 1: Was reanimated first because she is the most senior USSF test subject.
• Day 6: Reanimated 6 others: Rita Reynolds, Marcia Weathers, Tyrande Collins, Alaina Elise Carmichael, and two others yet identified.

Rita Reynolds, PhD

• Horticulture Specialist.
• "Shanghaied", not a project volunteer.
• She doesn't like to be called Doctor.

Description:

• Image (face only), image (body)
• 22 years old.
• 5'2", 102#; 32C-23-34; fit, muscular, delicious hourglass figure.
• Dirty blonde hair, somewhat wavy hair reaches to her mid back.
• Green eyes.

About her:

• Last of four daughters from a well-to-do rural family:
  • Father was a best-selling author of non-fiction books on environmental issues.
  • Mother had been a supermodel, actress, and judge for an amateur singing competition.
  • In addition to all of this, they owned and operated a WWOLF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms), on which Rita developed her yearning for knowledge in horticulture.
• She was a swimmer:
  • As a child and young teen, she won medals in swimming.
  • She went to state as a 13-year-old and qualified for the National Junior Team.
  • Swimming was getting in the way of her education, though, and school came first.
• She excelled in school:
  • Her last two years of high school, she took almost exclusively college level courses.
  • She achieved 2 bachelor's degrees in Horticulture by age 19 and a master's by 20.
  • She became part of a research team exploring the use of hydroponics in space.
  • She received her PhD (Hydroponic Applications in Space) at 22.
• She was shanghaied into the Project:
  • A new pandemic was spreading.
  • She went to a clinic to be tested and got what she was told was a flu shot.
  • The next thing she knew, she was being reanimated from suspended animation.

Romance and Sex:

• She's a virgin. Yeah, really; can you believe it?
• Like many girls, her first sexual interaction -- kissing, caressing, and probing, but no oral down yonder -- was with another girl, in her case a cousin.
• She attempted unsuccessfully to give her virginity to a high school jock as a junior. She was so tight that he hurt her trying to get in, and she called it to a stop.
• Since then, she's only ever reached third base -- the hands under clothing part, not the mouths on parts down yonder -- with men with whom she'd had some dates, before her anxiety of going farther caused their relationships to collapse,

  • She spent a few hours in the Horticulture Lab, looking over what she would have work with.

Marcia Weathers (pronounced mar-SEE-uh)

• Project Overseer (a fact currently unknown to the others)
• Feigning to be shanghaied. (More below.)

Description:

• Image
• 5'8", 138#; 34C-26-34; fit, though not overly muscular; very shapely.
• Dark black hair straightened and curled; reaches down onto her shoulders.
• Deep brown eyes.
• Flawless, ebony skin.

About her:

• Family:
  • Middle of three children from an average middle-class family living in a New Jersey town, not far from the border with New York state.
  • Her brothers were two years older and younger than she.
• Education:
  • She was an average student in high school and college, but excelled in sports, lettering in volleyball, basketball, and track & field.
  • She tried community college but hated it.
• Career:
  • She joined the NYPD, where she felt at home.
  • She quickly rose to Detective, working Narcotics, then Homicide.
  • On her first Narcotics undercover assignment, she was stabbed by a suspect who she was still then able to chase down and arrest. She was commended for this with a medal.
• The Project:
  • Unknown to her, Marcia's DNA had made it to a classified data base of genetically superior human beings. (No, that doesn't mean superhero; it means DNA free of markers for most serious diseases and ailments.)
  • When the Armageddon Virus was becoming a threat -- initially unknown to the general population -- she was offered a job with pay and benefits she'd never imagined: Overseer at the Richardson International Bunker Complex, which was a classified shadow project of the cryo Project.
  • With others, Marcia was tasked with monitoring dozens of people who were already in stasis.
  • She was incommunicado with the outside after the release of the Virus and the rapid collapse of society.
  • When the time came, the Project Administrators told her what was happening out in the world and offered haer a cryo bed. She took it.

Romance and Sex:

• She's bisexual, with a serious preference for women over men.
• While in the bunker prior to stasis, she hadn't had sex for 6 months.
• She's a silent cummer, only letting out audible gasps after she comes down.
• She became Alaina's lover the day after reanimation and Adeline's lover 2 days after that. (See "History in the bunker" below for more.)

History in the bunker:

• Day 5:
  • Reanimated with 5 others: Rita Reynolds, Tyrande Collins, Alaina Elise Carmichael, and two others yet identified.
  • She told the others that she'd been shanghaied. (The specifics of her story have not yet been posted, but when they are, I will change this post.)
• Day 6:
  • With the others, she learns about the 144 years, the possible extinction of the human race, and the likelihood that they will never escape the bunker (which, of course, will not be the case but is not something the characters know at this time).
  • She has sex with Alaina. (Details begin here.)
• Day 8:
  • Had her first threesome ever with Alaina and Adeline.

Premise
and
What Characters Do and Don't Know​

The starting point, the year 2040:

• In the year 2040, dozens of volunteers entered cryogenic stasis:
  • It was called the Deep Space Travel Research Project, or simply the Project, and was classified.
  • It was intended to research suspended animation for the upcoming Space Force crewed missions to Jupiter's moon, Europa.
  • The volunteers, nicknamed Stiffs, were initially located in secret locations around the US.
  • The Stiffs were told they would be in stasis for 9 months. (Most had previously been in stasis for one or two months.)
• Totally unconnected to the Project was another highly classified program:
  • This one was called the Garden Program, named for the Garden of Eden.
  • It filtered through DNA samples of millions of Americans (and foreigners, too) taken during medical appointments, blood donations, surgeries, etc.
  • Names of people considered genetically superior were secretly accumulated. (No, this wasn't about people with super powers; it was about people whose DNA showed few if any markers for disease, ailments, etc.
  • The government wanted a list of people who could potentially repopulate the Earth if ever the human race became threatened with extinction.
• Ironically, the need to repopulatebecame necessary:
  • Less than a year after the Project began, a disgruntled bioweapons scientist stole and released a lethal virus upon the world.
  • The worldwide death toll would ultimately reach over 97%.
  • The new plague would come to be called the Armageddon Pandemic.
  • The US Government scrambled to collect as many uninfected Garden Program-identified persons as they could.
  • They were shanghaied and shipped unconscious to the Richardson International Bunker Complex in the mountains of southeastern Greenland.
  • The Project volunteers were relocated to RIBC as well.

Reanimation of the Stiffs, 2184:

• 144 years later, the first round of reanimations began:
  • A variety of systems failures had led to deaths amongst the Stiffs over many years prior.
  • The reanimations only began after an earthquake cracked the bunker's wall, flooding the lower levels.
  • Between the systems failures and flooding, 24 of 60 Stiffs were dead.
• Captain Alice Walker was the first to be reanimated:
  • She spent 5 days reviewing the situation in the bunker.
  • On that 5th day, she awoke 6 Stiffs who were threatened by flooding. (See "Cast of Characters".)

The True Truth comes out:

• On Day 6, Alice has reveals what is known.
• The year was 2184, not 2041 as most of them had expected.
• The facility is in danger of total failure in 6 months as the water level rises. (See this post.)
• And the world beyond the bunker might not be safe for human life. (They have no communications connections with the outside world, so little is known about anything that happened after the year 2041.)

What the characters don't know but we, the writers, do:

• A catastrophic event -- as of yet undescribed -- has led to the near extinction of the human race.
• Life beyond the bunker is, however, possible. In fact, there are humans alive beyond the bunker.
• Global warming has resulted in the flooding of much of the world.
• Greenland's ice sheets and glaciers are gone.
• It looks like this now, with a mostly arid, gravelly shorelines (yellow, orange), tall rocky mountain ranges (red, gray; mostly in the south and east), and arable lands in the interior located on the shores of fresh water lakes (green).

Description
of the
Richardson International Bunker Complex​

Image

• The image only depicts the upper 6 levels.
• There are an additional 8 levels beneath those. These are the cryogenic pod levels.
• More on each of these levels is described below.

Location

• Gunnbjørn Fjeld in the Watkins Mountain Range on Greenland's southeastern coast.
  • The complex is a bunker located at the yellow dot.
  • FYI: A fjeld is a mountain peak that rises up through a glacier, ice pack, or snow field that is permanently located, not seasonal.

Construction and use:

• The bunker was built in the 1990s by the US Government as a security bunker to be used in the case of nuclear war.
• After the COVID-19 pandemic, additional medical facilities were added to deal with biological issues.
• After a larger, more advanced complex was built elsewhere, there were plans to abandon this facility.
• However, when the Armageddon Pandemic struck, the facility was quickly converted to house the cryogenic pods that were part of the Deep Space Exploration and Settlement Project, simply called the Project by most people.

Doctor Leslie Hawkins

• General Practitioner, civilian.
• Recruited to the bunker's Medical Staff.
• The last to enter stasis.
• Is currently the only reanimated member of the bunker's Medical Staff.

Description:

• Image
• Age: 34.
• 5'8", 148#; 34C-26-36; fit, shapely.
• Dark brunette hair with a wavy perm that falls onto her shoulders and hazel eyes. (Her features are explained below under "About her".)

About her:

• Family:
  • Her parents were well-to-do professionals with mixed ethnic heritage that included White European, Black Jamaican, Amerindian, and more resulting in a mix of African and European physical features.
  • Had three siblings, each of whom died of assorted causes before age 20.
  • As their only surviving child, her parents dedicated themselves to giving her a good life.
• Education:
  • Excelled in primary school with the assistance of tutors.
  • Excelled in university and medical school as well.
  • Took 6 years of French; speaks it well though not as fluently as, say, Adeline.
• Career:
  • Chose General Practice and joined a community medical practice in Cleveland.
  • Worked there for 6 years.
• The bunker:
  • Was approached by the USSF to join the project's medical staff.
  • Worked at 3 facilities for 6-8 months each.
  • Relocated to the Richardson International Bunker Project.
  • Worked in Greenland for two years before she, too, entered stasis.

Romance and Sex:

• Heterosexual.
• At a summer family reunion, she lost her virginity to a 20-year-old cousin. She was barely 16 at the time.

History in the bunker:

• Day 5: reanimated with 5 others: Rita Reynolds, Marcia Weathers, Tyrande Collins, Alaina Elise Carmichael, and Gregory Young.
• Day 6: fucked Ty Collings in the Gym.

Greg Young

• Senior Airman, US Space Force; least senior member of the USSF members (so far).

Description:

• Image coming, maybe.
• 6'0", 190#; muscular, with very little body fat.

About him:

• Nothing has been posted about his youth.
• Education:
  • He got a Culinary Certification Degree, thinking he was going to be a reality show television chef.
  • He abandoned that an Associates of Science degree in mathematics.
  • He landed a scholarship and began studying bio-engineering and DNA manipulation.
  • He gained acceptance to two different medical schools but failed out of both:
    • At the first, he simply couldn't handle the load and was told he should seek a different career.
    • At the second, he and several fellow Frat members raped several unconscious coeds at a party. The women couldn't press charges as they were poor witnesses.
    • Nevertheless, he and others faced expulsion. (See "Space Force".)
• Space Force and the Project:
  • Greg was one of the people who'd been identified as having near perfect genetics.
  • When the powers that be learned of Greg's situation, they made him a deal.
  • They got him out of his campus trouble on the condition that he joined Space Force's cryo research program.
  • He was fast tracked through the training and joined the Project.
  • The reasons for him being here -- an accusation of gang rape -- was ignored, although it did make it into his record.
  • He is one of the few people in the bunker who knew the truth of how long the occupants would be here for much longer than 9 months.

Romance and Sex:

• He's a misogynistic, heterosexual rapist.
• He raped Adeline Legrand on Day 6.

History in the bunker:

• Day 5: Reanimated with 5 others: Rita Reynolds, Marcia Weathers, Tyrande Collins, Alaina Elise Carmichael, and Leslie Hawkins.
• Day 6: While inspected the lower cryo levels alone, he opened the pod of Adeline Legrand and raped her while she was still in stasis.

Description:

• Image
• 32 years old.
• 5'4", 128#; 32B-24-36; fit but not overly muscular; wonderful, soft curves.
• Natural redhead; straight, fine hair reaching to midback is often wore in a French braid.
• Hazel-green eyes.
• Light, almost imperceptible freckles on her face; on the rest of her body, they are more obvious.

About her:

• She's a genius, a child prodigy; anything she put her mind to came to her easily and in far less time than it should have.
• She was fluent in 9 languages by the time she was 12-years-old: French (her native tongue) English, German, Mandarin, Euskara (also known as Basque), 2 African Bantu languages, and 2 Innuit languages.
• She got her first college degree -- a bachelor's in science -- at age 12. 9 more degrees, including 3 PhDs, would follow.
• She accomplished all of this while also conceiving of the form of suspended animation in which the bunker's occupants had been.

Romance and Sex ... and rape:

• While still in stasis, she was raped by Greg Young (Day 6; see #69).
• She is bisexual:
  • When it comes to other women, she likes being with two or more of them.
  • She hadn't been with another woman for 4 years prior to going into stasis.

History in the bunker:

• Day 6: While still in stasis, she was raped by Greg Young (see #69).
• Day 7:
  • Her pod began failing and she was reanimated.
  • She took an erotic shower with Alaina ... and Marcia? (Still waiting to find out.)

• Berthing beds: 75
• Nutritional capability:
  • With the Horticulture Laboratory in operation: 100.
  • Without the Hort Lab: the current population of 8 for an estimated 5 months. (See IC post #11 for more.)
• Other limitations:
  • So far, no limitations -- water, air, etc. -- have been identified.
  • Flooding is an obvious concern.

Vertical Movement:

• 2 stairwells, one primary (8 feet wide) and one secondary (5 feet wide).
• 2 elevators: NOTE -- neither are currently operating
  • 1 heavy duty that will lift freight, people, whatever.
  • 1 lighter duty designed to move up to 4 people at a time comfortably.

Cryogenic Stasis Pods:

• There are a total of 80 pods spread across 8 levels (7-14).
• The pod rooms are open bays, with the equipment necessary to tend to, monitor, and service them.
• Reanimating occupants:
  • To date, only 1 pod occupant has been reanimated at a time.
  • All of the occupants could be reanimated at the same time.
  • However, if medical assistance is needed, there is only 1 doctor (currently).
• It is possible to put people back into suspended reanimation; the equipment and drugs are available.

Above ground:

• Our characters do not know this yet, but there is a decrepit old building meant to appear as an abandoned structure with a hidden false floor.
• A highly secure door leads into an antechamber, that includes yet another highly secure door that accesses the foyer of Level 1.

• The Monitoring Station.
• The Infirmary.

Level 2:

• Horticulture Bay (and other related equipment, supplies, workstations, etc.)

Level 3:

• Repair (and Fabrication) Bay.
• Saloon (and kitchen)

Level 4:

• Living Quarters.
• Gym (and sauna)
• Hygiene Room

Level 5:

• Bunk Room
• Hygiene Room

Description of the Berthing Areas

Total number of beds: 75

Level 4 Private Quarters: 30 beds

• The image (linked above) shows beds out in the open. Ignore this.
• There are 10 bedrooms each along 3 of Level 4's walls:
  • Each bedroom is 6'x10'.
  • Each has a twin bed, a small desk and chair, and a tiny wardrobe with drawers and hanging space.
• The 4th wall offers linen closets, counter tops, lockers, and more.
• This 4th wall also includes 2 doors:
  • One goes to the Hygiene Room (toilets, showers, sinks, etc.)
  • One goes to the Gym, which includes all the expected equipment and a sauna.
  • The Gym and Hygiene room are also connected by a door.
• Level 4 was used by the higher-ranking Project workers prior to our characters arriving.

Level 5 "Bunk House": 45 beds

• In this case, the image (linked above) is accurate: 3 high bunks; 15 bunks; 45 beds total.
• Layout:
  • The bunks are nearer to two sides of the room.
  • A third side of the room is a Quiet Area: couches, chairs, bookcase, etc.
  • A fourth side offers linen closets, counter tops, lockers, and more.
  • Also on that wall are doors to the adjacent locker room and Hygiene Room.

The Deep Space Cryogenic
Stasis Project (DSCSP)
and
The Garden of Eden
Program (GoE)​

The concept of the DPCSP, simply put:

• The idea was to put human beings in suspended animation for long, timely trips into space.
• The first mission was to be a crewed mission to Jupiter's moon of Europa.
• The stasis portion of the mission was referred to simply as The Project.

Who perfected the concept of suspended animation via chemical cryogenic stasis:

• Many scientists/doctors had their hands in the conceiving, designing, developing, and testing of stasis.
• However, the Project would never have reached fruition if not for the work of Adeline Legrand, PhD.

Non-Human and Human trials:

• Late 2020s: animal testing began. There were failures, of course.
• Mid-2030s: human testing was approved -- and kept highly classified, of course.
• 2038: The first human test subject -- Captain Alice Walker, United States Space Force -- entered stasis for 30 days. The test went off without a flaw.
• 2039: Alice -- along with a few others, including Tyrande Collins, then a USSF Master Sergeant -- entered stasis for 90 days. Again, the test had no problems.
• 2040: Dozens of test subjects entered stasis for 9 months.

The Garden of Eden Program:

• The Program -- not to be confused with the Project -- was totally unconnected to the latter.
• The Program was also highly classified and, actually, illegal.
• It searched through the DNA samples of hundreds of millions of Americans and non-Americans:
  • The samples came from a variety of sources: medical appointments, blood donations, surgeries, health insurance applications, genealogy sites, etc.
  • The goal was to identify people with genetically superior DNA -- no, not people with superpowers, but people whose DNA showed few if any markers for disease, ailments, etc.
  • The government wanted a list of perfect people for repopulating the Earth if ever it was needed.
  • The GoE was simply a thought exercise, and no one ever thought any thing would come of it.

The Armageddon Virus

• 2041: A devastating virus began sweeping the world, making COVID look like a typical winter flu.
• The US Government scrambled to collect as many uninfected GoE identified persons as they could.
• The were shanghaied and shipped -- most of them unconscious, some of them already in cryo -- to the Richardson International Bunker Complex in the mountains of southeastern Greenland.
• The Project volunteers were also relocated to RIBC as well.
