• I chose the year 2032 because it is identical to 2021. (Both are leap years and have the same dates on the same days of the week.)

Time from which the space station came: the 26th Century.

The Space Station

• Location: Geosynchronous orbit over the Atlantic Ocean, 600 miles to the east of the Azores and roughly halfway between New York State and the country of Morocco.
• Size: 600 meters in length, almost 300 meter in diameter.*
• The 3 spinning rings have 3 Rings (levels) each.
• Gravity in each of the Middle Rings is 1g, with the Outer and Inner being slightly higher and lower respectively.

* Roughly 6 times the length and 4 times the width of the International Space Station, which was abandoned on 2028 but is still in a slowly decaying orbit.​

First Contact

• A recorded audio message in more than 7,000 languages began playing over many radio frequencies and (through means unknown) over the internet just moments after the station's arrival.
• Just short of 20 hours after arrival, Queen Mistra made herself known to Earth via a visual/audio message. The time of this was:
  • England (or UTC): Wednesday, 14 July 2032, 0300
  • Atlantic location of the space station: Wednesday, 14 July 2032, 1:00am
  • US East Coast: Tuesday, 13 July 2032, 10:00pm
  • US West Coast: Monday, 12 July 2032, 7:00pm
• The message and other related details can be found in the first IC thread post.
• The gist of the message was this:
  • She and her people were here to save Earth from destruction by the people of the 21st through 25th centuries.
  • And the countries of the world would submit to her rule, as only a central monarchal figure can get the job done.

Introducing Peter Jacobson, philanthropist tech industry billionaire

• 1st post by his writer, KyleReevis.
• The Queen revealed her given name, Mistra, for the first time in the IC.
• Mistra asked Peter to manufacture devices called HoloPads.
• She offered Peter a favor in return for beginning delivery of the Holopads within 10 days.
• The favor he asked was for her to give assistance to Nurla Mamin, a Kazak opposition leader currently in exile in Paris. Peter wants to see Mamin installed as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan pending a vote by the people.
• Although Mistra made no commitments, she said she would look into the situation.

Just a little OOC comment about where we are in the story.

I'm going to write a post covering Mistra's meetings with the leaders of the World's most powerful leaders. It won't require any role play, and it won't affect any posts you might want to write for Peter or Miman.

I have two other writers (one male, one female) who are interested but neither are ready to commit yet. That's okay, though, because we are still in the opening days of the story.
