Details about the island​

Location:

• Unknown, other than being somewhere in the South Pacific.
• Flight 1122 had been destined -- and fueled -- for a flight from Sydney, Australia, to Honolulu, Hawaii.
• The castaways assume that they ended up somewhere between:
  • Australia to the southwest.
  • French Polynesia to the southeast.
  • Guam to the northwest.
  • Hawaii to the northeast.

Shape and size:

• The island is shaped like a long, skinny kite with its four corners rounded, not pointy.
• From southern tip to northern tip, the island is 8 miles long.
• Its widest point is 3 miles across; that wide point is 3 miles from the northernmost point.

Elevation Details:

• The majority of the island sits relatively low, with the height of the island south of its middle ranging from sea level to a maximum of 30 feet.
• Just south of the island's middle, the elevation begins rising progressively quicker.
• The highest point is a single peak, 2,000 above sea level. It's top 500 feet or so is bared rock, while the jungle occupies the sides up to that elevation.

Shoreline Details:

• From the southern tip to 2 miles up the southwestern shore is a sandy beach. It ranges from 30 to 80 feet in width at high tide. Beyond the beach, the shallows stretch out between 50 to 150 feet, then drop quicky to great depths.
• A similar length of shoreline from the southern tip stretching up the southeastern shore is a combination of sandy beaches, rocky tidal pools, and shallow coral waters filled with sea life.
• North of these stretches of shoreline the beaches give way to cliffs. They vary greatly from 10 to 30 feet above high tide, getting consistently taller the farther north you travel.

The Airstrip and surroundings:

• The airstrip sits northwest to southeast.
• It has a length of 1 mile and a width of 200 feet.
• Flanking each side of the length of the airstrip is 60 feet of bulldozer-cleared land. The trees and shrubs from this land and the better cleared land of the airstrip itself were pushed either up to the forest's edge or into piles.
• Upon arriving, the castaways set up a camp between the southern end of the strip and the forest to the west of it.

• Lance is a conman. He wasn't intended to be on this flight but instead stole the identity and plane tickets of a man who had been destined to be here. (I posted this somewhere and will try to find the post and update this.

RP History:

• Day 1: Lance was paying far too much attention to the possessions of the other castaways. Greg Hamilton, the Air Marshall, had noticed this; Greg engaged Lance in helping him, to keep Lance close.
• Ironically, this involvement led to Lance becoming a liked figure amongst the castaways.
• He would actually become a Council Member when the governmental group was formed.
• He supported 16-year-old Howard Jacob's demand that the teens get a voice in what happens on the island. Because of this support, the teens not only get to vote along with the adults but Howard got a seat on the Council.
• Day 4: When Greg, Gail, and Ethan -- all Council members -- went on a trek to investigate the island, Lance was left in charge of the camp.

• Medical Career: became an obstetrician at age 26.
• He was accepted into NASA's astronaut program at age 36
• He was training for travel to space, to the Moon, or even to Mars.
• He resigned his position after falling in love with his soul mate, Doris Parker.

Coming to Australia; breaking up in Australia

• He was surprised at an invitation to speak at a medical conference in Sydney. It wasn't something he'd considered attending, let alone speaking at.
• He asked Doris to go with him. She accepted, and they decided that -- if it felt right -- they would consummate their relationship there.
• They did in fact have sex their second night in Sydney. It was great for both of them, so much so that they fucked like rabbits over the next three days.
• One night, Ethan had a dinner that Doris couldn't go to. She had met and befriended some Aussies, who took her out ... to a sex club!
• Doris had no intention of betraying Ethan, yet it happened ... with women, with men, with both, again and again for two full days.
• She didn't see Ethan again until they were getting on Flight 1122 to head home.
• Ethan was so crushed that he spent $1,000 to get an upgraded seat to avoid seating next to Doris on the flight back to Honolulu.

RP History:

• Day 2: Ethan was elected to the Council.
• Day 4: He participated in an exploratory trek with Lenny, Greg, Gail, and Henry
• Day 5: While on the trek, he intentionally searched for Gail, who he'd been told was at a nearby waterfall cleaning up. He came upon her while she was naked and under the waterfall. He got caught and chastised.
• By accident, as they were both returning to the camp, Gail caught Ethan masturbating.
• Later that day, the team discovered a World War II Japanese tunnel complex.

  • She sang, too. She had some singles that faired modestly.
  • She made appearances on some of the daytime comedy/variety shows and late-night talk shows, too.
• Acting and nor singing were not her passion. Surfing was:
  • She'd been good as a child and young teen.
  • She'd won every trophy available, most of them multiple times.
  • She'd been cute and sexy and made sports programs, magazine covers, and more even when she lost.
  • She'd made more money hawking surfing and related summer products than she ever had acting or singing.
  • But as her age progressed, her skills didn't.
  • She had money, so losing sponsors hadn't slowed her career on the waves.
  • But by 15, she'd concluded that this, her third career, was just about over.
  • She'd continued modeling and selling products with her winning smile and great figure.
  • She'd done some announcing at sporting events, too.
• At 18, she joined Waves:
  • It was a Sydney-based reality show.
  • It centered on non-Australian actors, athletes, and others who'd relocated to the land down under.

• She'd found her sunbathing spot her second day. It was near the northern end of the southwestern beach.
• She went there every day, sometimes for hours.
• She hasn't done hardly any work at all, other than helping to set up her tent. She shares it with some as-of-yet unidentified castaways.
• Day 4: Lance King began his quest to get friendly with her by offering her some of his black-market goods: cosmetics, skin and hair products, etc.
• Day 5: She began her quest to avoid work:
  • Howie is in charge of interviews for helping to assign jobs using the Jobs Assignment Chart.
  • Lance wants to fuck Steph. He talked to Steph on Howie's behalf.
  • He told her that he could keep her off the "Jack" if she got intimate with him.
  • She wants to delay this, possibly avoiding it. She hasn't decided.
  • She introduced him this day to Doris, who Steph knows likes to fuck.
  • Doris wanted a threesome. Steph avoided that, too, by giving Doris an erotic kiss, then telling her "Another night, maybe."
