Just for the fun of it...

I agree. 5 out of 4 people have trouble with fractions.
Yes, I'm one of those people.

Or statistics.

On a happier note, If I can pass this last finals test with a B+ or higher, it is the last math test I will ever have to take :D
Oh, but statistics are easy. You can make them mean whatever you want them to!

Good luck with that final!

It's so very nice to reach that point in one's life. ;) btw, loving the new avatar.
She does come up with some great avs, doesn't she?

15 to 5

Close enough :D

3 to 1 in favor of putting scouries and his alt scouries world on ignore.

It's a start.

I'm guessing that zanzo will quickly rise through the ranks and become the scheming grand vizier.

You're absolutely right. I just added Zanzo to my ignore list, just to avoid the sight of his stupid thread.

So as we total up these numbers at the end of the thread are we also going to include the 3499 who've "favorited" the boss? That would make sense wouldn't it?

I mean if we did that would mean the present sscore is like 3504 to 14!

And who are these 3499 people anyway? Okay now I remember they're READERS!

jim's  not on my ignore list...

20 Favoritest Authors

3.

6.scouries (3499)

Ah yes, the marvel of ignore. :)

On a side note:

On the top 250 authors list, one person can only account for one additional favorite right? Meaning, if someone registered and favorites 10 of your stories, on the 250 list, it will only appear as 1 addition count?

Favoriting stories isn't what adds to that list. You have to favorite the author, which is a separate function. And, yes, one vote per account. I've had someone go spastic on that button, hitting the favorite author button four and five times--but, alas, it only registered once. And after voting, you can later cancel that vote, if you like, and it will be taken off the total score.

You can only be favorited once by an author. If someone favorites 10 of your stories, but not you as an author it does not register on the top 250 list.

Also in case you're going to ask there seems to be a glitch here and there where you'll see so and so favorited you multiple times.

It only counts once.

Thanks for clearing that up. I've been looking at that list lately and noticed that individual stories being favorited don't seem to count on that list, even though the top of that page says:

These are the stories, poems, and authors which Literotica members have added to their "Favorites" lists

which suggest that favorite stories get added it.

Stories get added to their favorite stories list, the favorite author list is different.

There are three separate lists on that page--stories, poems, and authors. That's why the top of the page mentions three lists. Your question was on the favorite authors list.

This is an interesting choice of threads to be asking this question on. I'm glad you got an answer or three.

ETA: Ah, I see from one of LC's posts that scouries was bragging about his numbers on the favorites list.

Just one thing wrong there. He hasn't posted a story in over 9 months but he's getting more favorite votes than the guy who just passed him who has posted a dozen stories in the same time frame. Just an interesting observation over the last few years.

He gets 3 favorites a day, every day except for the times he is gone and then her gets none. He was gone just recently for a week and lost a place on the list. Then he was gone for three days and lost another place. Now he's catching back up very quickly but has no new story. That is if you don't count the fake one he won his own fake contest with.

If I'm not mistaken, not that long ago, he was number 2 to Many feathers, now he's down to 6 and if he doesn't keep creating alts Silkstockinglover is going to catch him quick

Math is fun!

(I get such a kick out of you guys)

Glad to be of service. ;)

I said it was just for fun. :D

That and to stick a few thorns in scouries bubbles since he thinks he's won.

Little do he know. :D

More numbers:

Back in early 2011 I posted my sales figures by year for my two greatest best sellers. Below I’ve updated the numbers by adding 2011 sales and 2012 ytd. And yes, unfortunately, sales are down this year due to my inactivity. However, interestingly, only one new 2012 story, the brilliant jimmyjammy bestseller “Threads: the Island” out sold my dynamic duo. Which ain’t that bad if I do say that myself.

I’ve also included the vote and comment totals for the two stories for those of you interested.

"Daddy", I Whispered's yearly sales figures are as follows:

2006: 321,000
(story came out part way thru the year)
2007: 407,000
2008: 411,000
2009: 463,000
2010: 516,000
2011: 522,000
2012: 427,000 (ytd)

"Ohhh Mommy"'s yearly sales figures are as follows:

2006: 99,000
(story came out very late in the year)
2007: 554,000
2008: 715,000
2009: 821,000
2010: 807,000
2011: 797,000
2012: 650,197 (ytd)

FYI "Daddy" had 27,263 votes and "Mommy" had 15,638 at the end of 2010.

Now they have 39,206 (+12,000) and 23,106 (+plus 7500).

Comments in 2010? 738 for "Daddy" and 389 for "Mommy".

Today: 960 (+222) and 569 (+180)

scouries cracks me up too. At some point he decided that he's made "sales" on a free site riddled with searchbots-- and he sure is wedded to that notion. he keeps posting lists of numbers attached to the date 2006.

Dude, put those ragged old stories of yours into epub format and sell them for 99 cents per download. You would quickly know how many real and unequivocal sales you have.

Maybe you'd earn enough for a cup of the better quality booze once in a while, who knows?

Reminds me of trysail thinking he's so A-list big finance and shit

2006 is when he figured out that putting " marks around his title got him top billing on the stories list. That's before Manu made it rotating instead of fixed.
He also learned that F5 would add a view to his stories. He also grew calluses on all his fingertips from pressing F5. After that he couldn't get his fill of Monopoly money.

He made up a bunch of fake covers at one time but never had the balls to put them up somewhere. That was also before he learned how to use the quote feature here on Lit. I think one had a lot to do with the other. Anyway, his photoshop skills and sense of color are screwed.

Since then he's had the delusion that he has a fortune, he's the number one author on Lit and lives in Miami Florida.

As for Trysail, he must have be scared by a chart and a graph when he was a baby and keeps trying to get rid of them all by posting them on a porn site.

I hope this clears up some of life's little mysteries. :D

I don't have anybody on ignore. I don't think I do on any forum actually. Scouries wouldn't be a great candidate anyway as most of his crap is consigned to a few threads which I just don't bother reading.

So I take it that you don't write for the contests.
