Good Reads on Literotica

I have been reading FemDom oriented fiction here and on a few other sites for more than twenty years. I found a particular series among many by the writer, @oneagainst. I consider this to be the best I've ever read. It resonated with me in ways that I'd not felt before, mainstream fiction or erotica. This reading experience is one I will never forget, and I have more stories by this talented author that I have yet to read.

It's called "Alena's Game". Here is the first chapter of 20. https://www.literotica.com/s/alenas-game-ch-01

My recommendation: Maize, by @ThatNewGuy.

Well-written, well-crafted, very atmospheric. The sense of doom and foreboding builds up right from the start and reaches a natural but still surprising climax.

I love London Dreams and, to a lesser extent, The Rough Night, by Donna Cooke.

Not necessarily because they're exceptionally well written, and not because they press my buttons particularly, but because they feel like fever dreams. Very raw, woozy, unreal but not so much that they lose you. Clearing something out of the writer's psyche; specifically a desire to lose all control.

Hard to do that. Usually something very raw will read like a sweaty palmed bang-bang-bang ("And then he... And then he..! And then he did it again but twice as much..!"). Either that or it gets polished until it loses something.

I like They Chose They Use by Sukky Foxxe for similar reasons.

I finally found a story that addresses my tastes perfectly. They are very rare, and I don't imagine many of you readers will find it to your tastes. But on the shotgun method, I want to spread the word. If you do like it, and know of others like it, please reply. It's a BDSM story called Conquered in the Throne Room, by @GrayMount. I describe it as a strong man surrendering to pain and sexual humiliation. Normally, I'd add "with dignity," but this one pushes the edge.

I remember Aiding and Abetting, that one was damn good. Love the humor and the overall lighthearted feel to it. The whole scenario leading up to their first time was fuckin' brilliant.

Off the top of my head, I'd give Sunlight form rwsteward a look(yeah, yeah, I'm a dude that reads the Romance category, whatever, fuck you). One of them End of the world tales so it's a little different, and a bit darker in some aspects than most Romance stories (again, sue me).

Here's the link for Sunlight: http://www.literotica.com/s/sunlight-5

I'd advise checkin' out his other work too. Lotta good shit in there.

Enjoy.
oh yes I love the Sunlight one. To have the someone put into words how it is to have a woman you love, love you back.. oh man.

I started reading a series fantasy about a guy who jumped into an alternate reality, I think his name was Tom. In the alternative reality he met cats and dogs in human form but still hairy. There was an underlying story and a mystery to solve but he just stopped before it ended. Would love to know if the author is going to finish it.

I happened upon an example of what I call "simple erotica," what some people might call a well written "stroker". This is a story without plot or character that, I think, is worthy of praise.

https://www.literotica.com/s/now-19, by @Brokenchime

Reminder. Just because I'm beating this topic a bit doesn't mean I don't admire stories with plot and character. I do. I just think there are other kinds of praiseworthy stories.

There is one more chapter on another site, but it isn't finished there either. If you search by the author's name, you'll find it.

I was sad to see that it hasn't been finished.

Out of the thousands of stories here, I'm sure you've stumbled upon some stories and authors which left a lasting impression on you. This thread is dedicated to those authors and stories. They don't have to be in the Hall of Fame or even have a Red H or the Green E, just stories and Authors that you liked immensely.

So,

> Post a link to the stories that you loved.

For the benefit of those browsing, give a small description about what you loved (humour, plot, narrative, erotica or anything else) that makes it stand apart from the rest. There's no restriction on categories.

> If you liked a particular Author's submissions, add a link to their submission page. Again, for the benefit of the readers, give a small description about what you liked about that author and a beginner's story you'd suggest for those who are not familiar with them.

I hope you all enjoy reading the stories and get to add new, unfamiliar authors and stories to your reading list.

Happy Reading.
For those with a taste for D/s (the lighter side, without anything degrading or painful), I recommend

It is beautifully written by a skilled author and is one of the best stories I've found on Lit.

If you prefer a dominant woman, then I recommend

Again, beautifully written and quite hot.

I didn't know this thread existed?! I love it! I haven't read everything that this site (or even just this thread) has to offer, but I have so far found the following pieces to be gobstopping for one reason or another:
  • The Christmas In July Luau by HollyLoriAnnalee
    • What's special about it: The use of a brazenly distinctive narrative voice, if you care to sync up to its wavelength, lets this story get away with mind-expanding new ways of describing sex and debauchery. It's scary to try and write like this, because if it doesn't come out very good, the results can be very bad. But thankfully HLA's story also punches heavy where it counts: pacing, fun factor, character depth, juicy observations, escalation of sexual stakes, etc. If her wild narration hits any false notes in Luau, then the execution is sufficiently hallucinogenic that no two readers will agree where they're hidden.
  • A Mother's Worry by MrHereWriting
    • What's special about it: Fucking fuck, the talent Mr. H has for painting human anatomy in words. Just: fuck, man. It is a skill most of us avoid even trying to hone for how embarrassing it is to be anything less than awesome at it. Instead, we take the coward's route and economize our prose, sticking to just a few universal terms (cock, pussy, ass, etc.), while telling ourselves this is justified because it "Keeps The Focus On The ____" and/or leaves more to the readers' imaginations. But Mr. H reminds us that there is another harder, better way. It's goddamn thrilling to see not just how deep this guy's playbook goes, but how indefatigable is his commitment to precision, validity, mouthfeel. Please, please read A Mother's Worry. Yes, it is fuck-you long at 120k words. But, and I say with this love, get fucked.
  • My Newly Nudist Twin Sister (Ch. 1, Ch. 2) by u/Dave_LG (not "Carlton 9000")
    • What's special about it: This story was first published as non-fiction, kind of like The Blair Witch Project but for incest, on the now-quarantined but then-crackling subreddit, r/Incest. Missing crucially, however, from this Literotica edition (damn you, Carlton 9000) are all of the Reddit accouterments that made the original presentation so convincing, most notably the "EDIT:"-type notes to readers updating them on privacy protection issues, due to some redditor(s) eventually triangulating the OP and his sister's whereabouts using real world minutia woven into the original post. Worse still, because of this real world nonsense, that very first post no longer even exists. Still. If you are an Incest/Taboo fan, then you owe it to yourself to read Nudist and see how u/Dave_LG earned his place on incest erotica's Mt. Rushmore. (If it pleases the mods, I would also titillate everyone here with one of if not the most infamous incest posts in Reddit history, one in which a surprisingly engrossing, textured story of mother-son fun-having unfolds across dozens and dozens of brief answers to an r/IAmA post that to this day remains regarded as authentic.)
  • Legend of Lexi by Xarth
    • What's special about it: Xarth seems to have beaten erotica and begun some sort of New Game+. And yet, as a result of their weird deftness, it's hard to say with certainty that they are in fact as unusually good at everything as I'm pretty sure they are. Lexi is a good example of this too, such a clean, frictionless product that it's almost impossible to deduce how considered it actually is. But there is at least one place where Xarth's true power is unable to hide behind cleanliness and restraint. Sometimes they use it sparingly. Other times they induuulge, baby. But never have I finished a Xarth story and said "Phew, that one sure had a lot of dialog!" even when it did, in fact, have miles of the stuff. What makes Xarth's dialog uncommonly good isn't some magic weird special trick only they can do, but just that they have achieved maximum, scouter-destroying levels of mastery. They have a Juilliard ear for tempo, veracity, personality, etc. Consider how vital communication is to fostering connection and understanding between humans, and it's no wonder that even the more vanilla sex scenes in Xarth's stories feel alive and urgent and fulfilling. Somehow Xarth takes dialog-focused storytelling--what most of us equate with lumpy, distracted, pacey erotica--and not only justifies the approach, but proves it can be used to beat the game entirely.
Holy shit! I am not on Reddit a lot. First, that guy's story sounds like a lot of porn out there, but moreover, that comments section is epic. Some of the commentariat outdid themselves.

Wow. Thanks for digging in and posting this. I do like to discuss stories. See my comments below.

I didn't get the "brazenly distinctive narrative voice." I assume you're not talking just about its being in first person. It's true that it flowed, and I felt like I got a vivid sense for the narrator's personality. But not brazenly distinctive. As for the "mind-expanding new ways of describing sex and debauchery," I was looking forward to that, but 10 Lit. pages was a lot. Too much for me. I skimmed but didn't find the kind of detail I crave. "Vincent and I did everything that night," just doesn't work for me. But one thing's for sure, different strokes for different folks and I'm glad you and @HollyLoriAnnalee met up.

And I was glad for the opportunity to discuss!

OK, so I don't get incest, so I just skimmed for "painting human anatomy." I agree that there's some vivid description. The first I encountered was in the para beginning with "Jenna stood, grabbed them, and facing sideways to her father and me;" I appreciate it when an author comes up with new ways of saying stuff. And another beginning with "Jenna shifted." But 33 (!!!) Lit. pages is just too much to skim. So I'm sorry I'm missing what must be dozens of felicitous descriptions of sex.

Since I'm not an incest fan, I'm skipping this.

Can't stand other worlds, so am skipping this too.

But I do commend your efforts! I've got a watch on Goodreads and will keep an eye out for more of your efforts.

I just read a new story that illustrates a concept that I found very important when it was articulated by RainyDayPen below. "Formality" in an S&M context really works for me. For anyone else so inclined I recommend A CFNM Trial by @curiousjohn1969. I'm recommending it here because I don't find such stories very common.

In addition, I found this story clever and humorous.
I'd rather have a person bound naked in the street as part of a very formal (and legal in the fictional world) discipline policy than for example stories I've read where a domme binds her sub in the street like with a sign that says 'whore' or something that's more overtly sexualized.

Not on Literotica, but I liked this one so much I made an audio of it!

I posted a new audio.

[Please submit your work to Literotica and post the link on New Story Advertisement sticky thread]

Everything by Brokenspokes and JCMcNeilly is brilliant. I've also really enjoyed AwkwardMD's Portland Opera series. These are all Lesbian Sex stories that focus on character development a lot. They are long, and all the more rewarding for it.

I've been on this site for a few months and haven't found much that really grabs me, with one exception.

This author, @Solitude_for_Two has a series called "A Beautiful Mistake" and I love it. I've read the whole thing three times.

The first-person present tense is really engaging. And he (maybe she, but seems he) doesn't just write hot sex, he writes good characters and stories. It gets my heart pounding pages before any sex actually happens.

Unfortunately, his last few stories have come out at a way slower pace than before. He hasn't posted anything in awhile. If anyone has read anything similar to his stuff, let me know. It's hard to find things on this site.

My reading life is divided into two parts, the library (I ALWAYS have books from there, with several on my Kindle for emergencies), and erotica. I don't look for erotica in my library books. I look for it online, mostly here.

Tonight I was lying awake as I often do and found myself thinking about the four Indian ladies in @MyBareTorso's Oz Beach Boy Stripped by Indians. They were just so vividly fun. I just enjoyed replaying their back and forth. For me there was nothing erotic about it, for several reasons, but since I found myself revisiting it with pleasure, in the library part of my brain, I thought I should recommend it to the rest of you. I hope some of you have fun with these ladies too.

I went to @Djmac1031's biography because he had Liked one of my posts, and I think had done that before a few times.

There I found this: "New story has dropped.
Sents And Sensitivity. A mature lesbian couple show compassion and share intimacy with a widowed male neighbor."

I was intrigued. I have a very narrow window for stories that work for me erotically, but I do appreciate good normal fiction. This looked promising and I was very happy to read it. I was amazed to find out that I could appreciate the power of the scent of ladies' underwear. Never thought that would happen!!! Didn't work erotically, but worked really well humanely!!

Here's the story. Scents and Sensibility
