Erectile dysfunction advice needed

This vacuum pump and cock ring combination works wonders for me. I do not have a partner at this time and am probably older than most here, cannot take the pills, and am happy with results.

I would be willing to work with you on this!

I’m not old (60) but I’ve been in a sexless marriage for several years and I’m pretty depressed about it. I’ve been drinking more than I should and am also on blood pressure meds so what was once a fierce erection is almost nonexistent. I’ve reached the point where I might want to step out but this condition has really shattered my confidence. Even masturbating is difficult. I’ll be seeing my MD in a month or so and I’ll bring it up with him. In the meantime I’m considering getting some toys but am unsure what to get (Prostate toys? Rings?). I’m also considering trying an erotic massage to see if that could get things going. Any thoughts on the subject are greatly appreciated.
You don't say if you have a partner. What do you meaan, "

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with erectile dysfunction and a sexless marriage. It's great that you'll be discussing this with your MD, as they can provide you with more personalized advice and may recommend treatment options that could help. In the meantime, using sex toys could be a great way to explore your sexuality and regain some confidence. There are a variety of toys available for men, including prostate massagers, penis rings, and strokers. As for an erotic massage, that could also be a great way to explore your sexuality and increase arousal. It's important to remember that everyone's experiences with erectile dysfunction are different, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's also important to prioritize your health and safety, especially if you're consuming alcohol or considering stepping out of your marriage. Seeking therapy or counseling could also be a great way to work through your feelings and find healthy ways to cope with your situation. If u wanna buy pills for that I recommend u to do it at Canadian Pharmacy because of high qualified pills. Wish u luck!

Mid 50's here, and started having ED issues. Everyone has already covered it;

- lower/reduce/eliminate alcohol and smoking
- exercise more

I'm generally healthy, drink a bit, but not excessively, last health check was good, exercise regularly enough (could do more, but basically run at least 30 miles a week).

I went with the HIMS, online consult and shipped away. But given your on meds, talk with your doctor. They will make sure there are no medicine clashes.

Sexless marriage - because of the ED, the drinking, something else? If it's mainly the ED, then fixing that per the above is the path. If something else, go to counseling. That's what counseling is for, and your wife will appreciate you caring and being proactive about it.

Talking with a professional urologist may help. Drinking, meds, stress, and lack of exercise play into all of this. Meds like Viagra help, but are not the cure. Be open and honest with your doctor.

If popular ed meds aren’t working find a Dr who specializes in hormone replacement therapy (will help with libido too) and maybe look into the Trimed shot, it’s guaranteed to work, you’ll be harder than a 20 year old at a strip club and have great staying power!

Hello All
I’m 71 and I have had this shit too long now. I tried a pump, costly but ineffective for me. I tried Tgel and T injections. Testosterone caused my PSA to go through the roof. One danger of that is prostate cancer. The GP I see now has prescribed a 10MG Cialis daily. This has put me back in the game of life. Stronger, harder, and a longer lasting erection is what I searched for and have found. I too take BP meds and the usual array of heart meds, but something so simple works fine for me.
I offer this for thought.

It also helps if your partner holds your cock in their mouth as you get hard as a 🦴 bone.

Viagra helps in my case, Cialis did't have an impact. The BP and diabetes meds and a prostate biopsy have all take their toll!

I was having issues due to some life events, pharmaceuticals, and just as bad over-the-counter antihistamines for allergies. I began taking Benadryl to help sleep in a war zone and continued for many years afterward. A military doctor placed me on Atenolol for a mild hypertension. I no longer take Benadryl and a new doctor placed me on a mild BP med that doesn't affect erections. I started another thread that explains how erections work (you'd be surprised what men don't know, I didn't know all myself) and lists all the medications that can cause ED. It helped me to return to normal erections at 66 years old and it might help you. I suggest taking a look.

These play a role in adversely affecting the prostate gland. Any ideas on how to reverse the damage?
My doctor switched me to Losartan from Atenolol and I quit taking antihistamines for allergies. Within a few weeks after starting Losartan and a few days of stopping Benadryl, my erections became extremely hard and last. Just this morning, my wife sucked my cock to the rigidity of a telephone pole and sucked/fucked it for about 45-60 minutes. It's been a while since I've been able to do that. Within 30 minutes, I was ready to go again. It made that much difference for me.

Sildenafil. Viagra generic. Amazing. 30 100mg tablets at Costco cost $19.99. I cut them in half since 50mg taken a few hours before showtime is plenty. So that's basically 60 pills for $20, taken as needed. Thank you, doc.

The best docs I know are Tess Winfield for the body and Lisa Coleman for the mind. They both share much advice similar to other people who have posted in this thread. Actresses they resemble include Chyler Leigh & Ally Sheedy.

I'm 63. Stopped drinking totally 12 years ago to avoid any chance of being remotely close to blood alcohol issues the next morning when I had to be on my game. 6 months later - certification passed - I had a beer to celebrate. Tasted awful. Never had a drink since.

Weight has always been a touch and go issue for me but post COVID I was getting up there again. Since Jan 2023 I've lost 60lb and feel great. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Can't stand gyms. My old right knee is touch and go about the impact from running - so on a road bike. Eat well. Cut out all the junk food. Now I feel great!

And though I have my soft days - there have been no complaints in sexed up situations with partners. Can be a bit of a slow burn to get going - but that just means you give her more foreplay and she gets going too.

So what's the big secret? There is no secret to this. It's fricking HARD when you get older if you are having to play catch up or get into a regimen that you have not been used to. You have to apply some tough love to yourself and get out there and do it. There are days it is hard and you want to give up. Odd days when you cheat and have that burger and fries (and if you have been eating well - it tastes awful). This really is a mind over matter game and only you can really get yourself out the pit and back on top.

Not trying to sound "holier than thou". This is just what it took for me.

YMMV

See that you don't have diabetes, as diabetes is the main reason for physical erectile disfunction, reduce the drink an try to exercise more.

As a diabetic, my experience shows that maintaining good blood sugar levels improves the situation. BP meds and allergy meds, however can screw it all up!

I am 65 but at 62 I was going thru a very long period where I could get a softer erection and could ejaculate some if my wife used her hands, I am not in a sexless marriage, it went on for a long time before I spoke to both my wife and doctor about it. Well long story short I was diagnosed with ED with also a low testosterone level, we decided to try ED drugs, which Viagra for me didn't work well but Cialis did finally we decided on Daily Cialis which I have been on since, it worked well and I decided not to go on testosterone replacement drugs since they say once you start them you have to use them for life. I lost weight and my levels came up some but still decently below what they should be, I can still get and erection and have sex with her on the daily pills but sometimes I am not able which I believe might be the t-levels but we can both live with the amount we do have it luckily. Hopefully the drugs continue to work, as I do not drink, smoke & have lost a decent amount of weight and levels are still low but do not wish to take more drugs.

Good luck with things!

I'm going to start doing reverse Kegels to see if it'll help with my erection strength, control and endurance. Primarily endurance.

Kegel wise, my pelvic floor muscles are very strong and under control. Reverse Kegels are like the opposite, instead of training to flex those muscles, I feel like I need to go the other direction and train them to relax - both in general and at will.

I sort of had an instinct about this for quite a while, that my pelvic floor muscles were over-toned and it was contributing to erection weakness and unpredictability, and to difficulty reaching orgasm. But I didn't know how to train them to de-tone or to fully relax at will, and didn't have any evidence that it would work. But I recently learned about reverse Kegels and so I'm a try it out.

It hasn't been easy but I'm only just getting started. Even though I'm probably ahead of the game compared to someone who has never paid attention to those muscles at all, still, relaxing them fully isn't easy for me. I'm convinced they're excessively toned.

Real food! Water with lemon. Exercise! Keep your mind off of your body! Cheers! Good luck!
