Is a non-erotic photo thread okay for Ampics?

I was discussing with a friend of mine earlier that I'd been spending a lot of time shooting scenic shots since I moved out west. So the question for the masses and mods is, can one get away with starting an Ampics thread for non-erotic photography. I'm sure there are a fair number of lit users who take artistic shots who would like to share them with the masses but don't necessarily want to friend every Tom, Jane, or Dick from lit on their Facebook page.

So Lit users and Ampics keepers, what say you?

Ooooohhh! Look! As the first voter, I have one hundred percent majority! I love it!

So, before this gets deleted, I'll post what I think you're looking for. Hope your idea takes off!

This pic is from my backyard during sunset a week ago. Hope this is what you had in mind.

Yeah well, I'll see your sunset and raise you one. I've got to work on that whole sizing thing.

Another shot.. That whole light blazing down on one spot thing caught my eye.

I voted the other day, here are a couple of offerings from me...

The forum is 'Amateur Pic Feedback'. Hmmm...don't see the word naked in there, so why the hell not!? ;) It's a great idea T, so my vote is Yep!

Sorry I don't have a contribution at the moment. Got a couple cool sunset shots from Southern Lake Michigan last summer. I'll dig them up when I'm back on my desktop.

Edit: The Lake MI pics didn't look as good as I thought. My contri below...

I love all the photos here, especially the sunsets. :)

Here's my humble contribution - sunrise amidst the clouds. I have other pics in this vein, but I included the wing of the airplane, just because. ;)

I think that's the best shot I've seen taken from a plane Shai

Just following ShaiGirl outside my normal stomping grounds

Here's something you don't see every day:
17 Year Cicada - Brood X, 2004 - My front yard.

Yea, I know, I had a lot of clover in the yard that year...how embarassing, but it's better now ;)

I especially enjoy the second pic. I rather like the contrast of the wings' translucence and the dark body. I was thinking it would make a nice desktop wallpaper, if you don't mind of course:)

btw I don't fault anyone for slack yard maintenance, as I'd often just as soon pave mine as mow it:eek:

Thanks for the feedback! These were taken with my first digital cam, so pic quality was often marginal. It did take nice outdoor shots though.

Yea, that shot was my wallpaper for a while. Of course you can use it if it still looks good at your desktop resolution :)

And I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only slacker in the lawn care department :D

...just a pic...

...from an old place near my house...

Looks like a very peaceful spot. A place to just sit, be still, and enjoy the day :)

...and then do a canon ball and raise all kinds of hell! :D
