Good morning Nurse, April, and everbody else, young and old. Another humid day in NC, but I guess that is redundant this time of year. Taking a break from another morning round with the weeds...mostly cloudy, which is keeping the temps down, but when the sun peeks out it's like somebody turned on the oven. Drenched one shirt and working on another. Catch y'all later...

(and don't let me interrupt anything...do carry on...)

I hope everyone's weekend has been as they wished!

Because its rainy here we are going to do fun inside stuff today. I' making fresh pasta to go eith the ricotta I made Wednesday, anyone for some ravioli with lemon-garlic butter and basil? Trying a new recipe!

Sunday morning

Good morning all. All is quiet in Virginia today. Finished my story post to Sex, Rick & Roll thread and now it is either watch some porn or go pull some weeds. :)
 
Bring it...I love spicy food. :D

How about chicken tenders sauteed in EVO, garlic, rosemary and thyme (let me run out and pinch some off), tenders reserved to the side when done, small chunks of chipotle carmelized in the pan with the remaining oil, pan deglazed with chianti, now crushed italian tomatoes put up last fall from the garden and some julienned basil and sundried tomatoes, a pinch of chicken boullion, a teaspoon of fried chicken rue (reserved from last wednedsday, from the freezer) simmered for 20 minutes to reduce.....don't forget splatter screen....return tenders to pan for 2 minutes, pour over rustic cut fettucini. I've just picked some baby string beans, so I can steam them if you like. We made some lemon gelato last night and I'd have to take it out to soften....served with crunchy mini waffles...silver dollar sized...should be ready by the time you finish your entree....

Then more dessert later....with a variety of toppings....

I just googled scallopini...I thought scallopini meant the sauce, with lemon, butter, capers...

Its hard to make good scallopini without overcooking the chicken to the consistency of shoe leather. 3 minutes in an extremely hot pan with a high smoke point oil. and a good kitchen ventilator.

I only like capers in mixed drinks. I like sweet not bitter. Its that way for everything.

I like bitter.

I have three grown sons, between them and their Dad, I had to like things no one else liked or I would go hungry, lol.
