Alice sat in her gazebo overlooking the great lawn that ran down from her great great grandfather's plantation house. Alice Trammel was eighty today. She looked more like sixty five with maintained blonde hair running down the back of her white with red flower dress. Her thin red lips left lipstick stains on the fine porcelain tea cup she was sipping from.
"You children play nice, ya hear?:" she sang out watching her great grandsons playing football as rough as boys will. She sat back with an amused smile feeling content with the warm June day, with her home full of her family now numbering nearly thirty.
She watched as Trevor, her daughter Mary's youngest walked down towards the river with Molly, his cousin. Trevor was twenty three and in medical school. Molly was the youngest grand child at sixteen. She was the spitting image of Alice and her momma Elizabeth, Mary's younger sister. Molly, like all the Trammel women was blonde as they come with lean athletic proportions. Alice watched as Trevor seemed to be on the look out for anyone noticing them walking away.
"Oh I remember sneaking off to that river you two" Alice sighed to herself as she closed her eyes in could almost feel Robert's big hand holding hers once they were out of sight. Robert was her older brother, nearly eighteen years older.
