Most of the old zombie stuff is very corny. As far as I'm concerned, Walking Dead is the benchmark for quality.

walking dead is less about zombies and more about the relationships between the people in the group. I missed Sunday's and plan on watching it tonight or tomorrow....

Yeah, the zombies in WD are more of a plot element than they were in older movies, like Romero's stuff. Sunday's was good. I'm worried for Glen and Maggie.

Yes, the fact that no one is safe makes it especially entertaining.

As far as games go Resident Evil is my favorite zombie series but not my favorite survival horror series. That is another subject in itself. As far as zombies in general go I prefer the stupid slow zombies. Alone they are no threat but that's what makes the old school zombie so scary. The fact that due to sheer numbers your in a hopeless situation.

Hard call. I love Zombie movies.

Dawn of the Dead was the uber classic movie. All of the brain-eating, talking dead movies are good.

The Walking Dead is a crazy good series.

I like the virus-undead theme but the classic Army-chemical undead rocks.

WWZ is ok. I didn't love it. Try "Patient Zero: A Joe Ledger Novel" by Maberry. Good stuff. Ledger is a sort of Jack Reacher that fights the borderline supernatural. Ledger is a maniac fighting for "good".

Honestly I will watch any zombie movie and enjoy it.

Try Chopper Chicks in Zombietown. Also good - but it a kitschy American way.

I like the slower moving zombies, more traditional, and seems more logical to have the dead lurching around. Fast zombies can be good, the remake of Dawn of the Dead was well done with the fast zombies.

Ultimately, I think there should be a mixture, the more fucked up a person was before the became a zombie should affect speed. A zombie that turned after a bite should be faster, a zombie that was munched on a bit first, slower.

The Walking Dead is probably the pinnacle of zombiedom right now.

Cracked magazine did an article on why a zombie apocalypse wouldn't last very long, that allows me to sleep at night.
