Your Advice To A New *litster*

I know. It isn't fair. It can be painful. And, yes, I am sure you are much "cooler" than the guy she is flirting with now.

If you are unable to "handle" that kind of thing I don't suggest doing a whole lot of flirting.

Also, for whatever reason, there are lots of women here who are married or otherwise attached.

Don't assume they are looking for you to fix thier "problems". Don't assume they are here because they obviously aren't getting what they want at home. Don't assume that you can show her anything that she hasn't seen before.

It sucks. It isn't fair. It can be painful. And, yes, I am sure you "understand" her a lot better than whoever she is with.

One more tip. Be careful of the GB. Even the nice people there are on edge because they expect you to be some "alt" of someone they have crossed.

welcome to Lit... if you ever have any questions and don't find an answer posted on here please ask any of us that posted either on here or PM if you perfer. We're pretty friendly, just mention you saw some advise for new people on the thread & ask your question. :)

I'm glad I found this thread... I've been lurking for a few months just reading. Recently decided to take the step to actually participate (a big step for me). Any words of wisdom for a newbie that's tentative and shy?

stay away fromt he GB... they chew up people over there voicing hard core opinions on everything...
they scared me bad when I first got here... they still do in fact :)
I watched, read & just kept to a couple of threads made some friends & now
I kinda just stick to a few threads that my friends hang out in.
 
Just be you...when you feel comfortable with someone/something have your say...a lot of the people here are just like the friends you have in R/L ( or would like to!)...well maybe a little sexier... ;) ...anyway enjoy yourself and remember where you are...nothing ventured, nothing gained... :rose:

So true.. I came here little under a year ago, I found new people to talk to and found someone truly special, Lits addictive in a very fun way so to all new litster's.. Just enjoy yourself :)

I have really enjoyed reading this thread!

The only advice I would have is just be nice. Rather than be negative, just don't post. And if someone is negative to you, realize they are probably a total idiot and kick dogs and small children in real life so don't take it personally.

Lit can be a lot of fun but remember to use Lit responsibly.
