Your Advice To A New *litster*

I'll add an advice, although I'm not too long here myself: just like in real life, be nice and respectfull and others will treat you well. :)

well said. :nana:
We've had a couple of threads I post in invaded by new people to the thread who just stopped in to be rude. Didn't want to interact with the people there or join the conversation. It's annoying at the least.

What I think is...be friendly..but...choose wisely who you want to connect with...just like in "in person"....see who you like,(see who is sane....lol..) talk..get to know them......and I agree with the others..... sometimes you can meet some very nice people on here....

and about the GB and posting in general......I think some people like the "shock, reaction, insult" factor....they say ...almost anything to get a response or look..''cool".....so...be ready for it!..

GOOD LUCK

Great thread, Elzabeth. Wish this was up when I first joined, would have saved me from some stupidity.

all of us I think make those first mistakes in Lit....
it's like a big city with all the different areas & neighborhoods... :)

Still pretty new myself and I wish i had seen this when i first started... great advice every one I think you.

And adding my own...
I know someone said it but I think it bears repeating... You don't have to respond to all PMs especially The ones that may be a bit perverted ones.. only respond if you want to.. cause the perverted ones tend to get worse the more they send.. even after you have told them you are not interested in what they are saying.

If you start a picture thread.. don't feel that you have to show it all right when you start. If you are not comfortable with it.. people will still love what ever you are comfortable with showing.

And The Playground is the place to be. Even in my short time I have found they are some of the nicest people on the site and have the most fun. :D

That's so true on the people in the playground... I've been in a couple of threads where GB people have som ein & just attacked the people in a thread. A total verbal Columbine assult. Makes you wonder about those people in real life & how they function with so much anger in them.

Especially on a site that is so obviously about having a good time.
