I was playing soccer and mourning the passing of summer. It's almost over here. Classes start in a month! Where did my summer go? Aaargghh..

Does fall make you sad too? It does for me. It rains a lot, and the sun goes away, and everything hunkers down to conserve energy over the winter. Then mud season starts. Winter mud season is harder to wait through than spring mud season. And then it snows.. And snows. And then it snows some more.

And then hockey season comes, and Christmas and my birthday, and life gets better.

But those first few weeks of fall bite my ass in a major ouch sort of way.

my only consolation is that the falls are usually as lovely as the summer.

always happy for company <smile> usually it's just me and my two furballs this hour of the morning. and my kitties don't seem to care for my coffee...lol...

i'm doing not too bad after my treatment yesterday. while i may have said i wouldn't recommend it as a first date *snicker* ... all in all it went ok. long 5 hours -- but beats being admitted to hospital

3 times a week he has to go for dialysis? i can't even imagine how tiring that can be. your Master must have amazing patience.

Glad to hear you are feeling ok
We are lucky the hospital is only a short drive away, and He is there from 2pm till about 7pm. It is temporary until His new catheter heals and He can go back on His machine at home. It is not so bad apart from the pain He gets in His back......they have TVs to watch and sometimes He manages to sleep a little. I usually stay for a little while and then go and do stuff and come back later to sit with Him and take Him home after. After 4 hours on a hospital bed He needs me to give Him a massage to ease His back and neck.

He is an amazingly strong man......He puts up with a lot, and was living alone before I moved here in January.....He says His life is so much better now.....

I had a game today too. It might be cancelled again, depending on the amount of water on the field.

On the fun side, the Fuzzy Domme is sitting on my window sill bitching at the rain, and it is quite humerous to watch.. She likes to go out sometimes when it's raining, but only if it's not raining hard. I think she's just mad because it's raining so hard rright now that there aren't even any birds coming to the feeder.

The league is three tiered, and you can only play on team. She tried to pull off playing on a level 3 team and a leverl 1 team.)

I am not close to any of my relatives
My Aunt Iona's kids and I were close when I was very young
Iona was same age as my bio mother

I was also close back than to my cousin Billy
He was a gang member
and I learn a thing or two from him
he spent most of one summer with us

Billy passed away this morning

He was a gang member back in the late 50s and 60s
and just plain bad ass <smile>

The biggest thing he taught me were
1) every man puts his pants on the same way
2) never make threats .. they are empty
