I am home from VA hospital

Lets see it is three hour drive/ride one way from here to the Saginaw VA hospital ... six hours on the road......

I am emotionally and physically tired

Anyway I had 5 appointments there today
At one of them they decide (?) that I have hada stroke sometime in the last 12 months ... it could have been yesterday .....

Got an email from Rachel but no phone calls

I got up at 3:15 Am
Hit the road at 5 AM
Got back ... well .... actually home home now ....... 10 PM

I am exhausted

The reason for the stroke DX is that my left side is 50 % or more weaker then my right .........

Hi my friend. Is that the only reason for the DX? There are many things that can cause that!!!

Is your BP being monitored and all now?

They took 17 vilas of blood....

They have order cat scan

BP is OK again since hospital stay in Dec
when It had gone crazy

What else are you thinking of that could cause the weekness?

Was another day of sadness, tiredness, fighting the VA

Friends ... I am ready to lay down and quit the fight ....

You know when I win the battle with the VA
now that Rachel seems to have left my life
no one will be around to get the benifits I have fought for
when I die ....

It was suggested today by my VA rep that I check into one of the VA nursing homes .... Jesus I am not dead ... and can you imgine me bring my toy bag with me ....

Damn. Not very tactful of him. Tho, here in NY doctors often have patients go into nursing homes for a limited duration to recover from an illness or a hospital stay. Not sure if that's how it's done where you are?
