I don't have a problem with either of my kids going to the community college. They didn't want to, so one is heading to Ball State, the other gets to make the decision next year and then in 3 years after that, the last one can decide. (I'm hoping he'll get a full ride with his music and number 2 should do very well with her offers because her SAT scores were very good) - either way though if they choose a community college cool - they still have to report back to me on how things are going, because my house, my rules. If you're not attending classes, then you better be working somewhere making money because I'm not forking over cash for them.
My son's not focused on what he wants to do yet, though his primary focus of his studies will be computer programming and Mathematics. He's seen his two female cousins attend college, one with a 4-year Environmental Sciences degree and works as a tour guide, the other with a Doctorate in Animal Behavior and is a supermarket bakery manager. He doesn't want to get a "useless" degree for the sake of attending and finishing school. He's just not sure yet.
Side note: Helps his mother and I out that we can take his tuition, books, and other items off on taxes next year, both Federal AND state
