I had a Nude Day contest entry pop into my head already this morning! Yay for me!!![]()
Yay! Nothing like being having an early idea.![]()

I keep trying to write and things keep getting in the way. ... Just so hard to get into the routine of writing when you're so often taken out of it.
I keep trying to write and things keep getting in the way. Like hockey playoffs, my son's baseball games, and my dentist visits. I kind of shot my writing time yesterday by rescheduling a dental appt, but that turned out to be good -- instead of the cavity I thought I had, it turned out I had an infection that was bad enough the dentist was concerned about saving the tooth (tooth is saved). Great. Now all I need is a new bridge... sigh...
Next week, though, PennGirl has her regularly-scheduled pre-school, so here's hoping... Just so hard to get into the routine of writing when you're so often taken out of it.

I was looking at the chapters in my latest story and noticed the difference in views from one to the other. Some later chapters, have more views than some of the earlier ones and I wondered why. I noticed it had a lot to do with the tag lines of the chapter and what was happening in it.
I know a lot of writers struggle to come up with a good title for the story, but how do many of you look at tag lines for your story/chapter? How do you promote it to get more readers? Key words/phrases? An action?
What's your secret to tag lines?
Still in my usual writing fix, somewhat complicated by Mr Penn's back going out yesterday. OTOH, PennGirl had her checkup to day and is quite healthy, they tell me.![]()
As for tag lines -- I hate them only slightly less than I hate titles. I don't like to give everything away, but sometimes I'm tempted. I've also been tempted to use the same tag line on chapters in a serial story, although I never have.
It's funny, given sofflabbwlvr's example, b/c I would likely not read anything with the second tagline, but would be more intrigued by the first. Gosh, I'm always off the beaten track on that stuff.
