I know the Halloween Contest is still going on, but better too early than too late for stories to actually get written. Anybody have some good ideas for the Winter Holidays?
There's one Christmas scene that I really want to write into a story one day, based on Nintendo's early days in America. The employees went around New York City and set up displays in the big retail stores to promote the Nintendo system. And then that night a few employees were walking around the city and came across one of the finished displays, all lit up. They stood there watching the display and the shoppers, and one of them started calling the other employees, until they had everyone together on the street corner, watching their handiwork together. I picture the snow falling, and people with mugs of hot cocoa, watching as happy kids walk out with their new Nintendo. I just really like the scene, and damnit, I *will* write it into a story one of these days...
