My point is that you're flippant about judging and dismissing a subculture that has several decades of detailed history behind it. It's one thing to say you don't like it, don't appreciate it, don't care about it. You are entitled to that opinion.

But since your knowledge of anything hip hop-related seems to be limited to only what you've gleaned from television over the last few years, I'll take acception to your assesment that all hip hop involves violence, misogyny and prison culture (as well as your implication that this is also synonymous with "black" culture) because such a statement is just flat out wrong and rather insulting.

And even though I'd like to give you a crash course on over thirty years of hip hop history as well as a primer on what "black" culture actually is, I'm not going to waste the time or energy. These are things you can find out for yourself with just a little bit of research.

And sorry if I came off as smug and attacking but it just gets really, really tiring to see people continue to have "opinions" that are based entirely on false assumptions.
