I had to reedit this. If you are a woman or man, I think it is very rude of you to think that many people on this board think they are superior to straight people. This is of course, bullshit. I never think that a heterosexual is inferior to me at all.

I can almost understand how some people might get the impression that we gay people place ourselves above straight folks. It's a faulty impression, of course, but understandable. We often portray ourselves as morally superior to many others, since we percieve ourselves as victims of society. And as righteous victims of the opression of certain parts of society, we sometimes come off as a bit judgemental. This ticks people off.

I'd like to try to dispel this understanding, at least for my own part. I don't like down on straight people. I get annoyed with people in general sometimes, but it's not limited to straight people. A persons sexuality has nothing to do with if he or she is a moron or not.

This is generalizing.It happens all the time.
It just happens that some people are idiots, and some aren't.

1.) I find that they don't as a whole have an "elitist attitude." I'm sorry to hear that the bad attitude of a few homosexuals has soured your opinion on all of them. However, judging by your lack of tact, I can see where you'd maybe get some attitude.

2.) They "do what they do" with a lot of consequence. Regardless of what you think you know, it's hard to be gay and being gay is NOT a choice. Nobody would ever CHOOSE that. If there was one generalization I could extend to every homosexual I've ever met, it's this: every single fucking one of them has been, or has been close to someone who has been, hospitalized by violent attacks on them because of their sexuality.They live in constant, daily fear of violent reprisal because of something that should be their own business. And people like you think it's their own goddamned fault. That should make your stomach turn.

I'm not homosexual. But I know and love some people who are. They have the rights and responsibilities, the same hopes and fears, and they bleed the same color as you and I. Try to understand that for your own sake as well as theirs. Your post is borderline offensive, but it seems tinged with just a little genuine curiousity. If you ever have more real questions about homosexuality, please PM me and leave the vitriol at home. I may not have ALL the answers, but I can find someone who will.

Jenny, you might want to word your questions more politely next time. Phrases such as "your kind" suggest a deep division between people. In my experience gays tend to be ordinary people, no different than you or me. And certainly not elitist.

Why do gays expect no consequences from their behavior? They don't expect that.

Sex always has consequences and being a minority, even a sexual minority, puts a person in a vulnerable position. This is something you should know, considering you are writing on an erotica board and there are many people who would criticize or condemn you for it... even taking action against you for it.

Your asinine generalisations have no basis in fact or in reality. SOME homosexuals look down on heterosexuals and SOME homosexuals act without regard to the consequences (whatever these might be) but this hardly is representative of the entire homosexual community. I could as easily say that because because you are a bigot all heteros are bigots.
