Why do homos?

You are contradicting yourself. You have made definitive claims as to how you believe lesbians behave, then when challenged, claim that you are merely seeking to understand their behavior.

Here's a clue: stop pestering lesbians in bars, and I'm sure they will stop telling you to fuck off.

As for whether or not lesbians here are stuck up, this is queer territory. Don't come in here talking shit and expect to be welcomed with open arms.

they have never told me to fuck off and I never pester lesbians at bars. It aint hard to be a lesbian today. Just follow the fashion, act all liberal, poetic, artistic and how you are looking for true love. Lesbianism is just a trend easily comparable to hula hoops or hush puppies :p

offensive? hey buddy, I can come out with way more harsh statements than that. Its the truth. Lesbianism is a trend. A Choice.

I'm not your buddy, and I wouldn't recommend that you persue an offensive course. If you'd like to debate these issues in a respectful manner, fine, but any further anti-lesbian comments will be removed.

There was nothing Anti Lesbian. You misconstrued it. And opinions should be allowed. I have been extremely polite to several people here accusing me of being a troll. :p

Just the title alone of this thread is disgusting and disturbing enough for it to have extended to four pages.
But whether or not we got sucked into troll territory , it just proves how many things haven't changed or how much of a long way we still have to go to get rid of false, negative and debasing stereotypes of GLBT people.

Willful ignorance and evil mindsets will always be in the world. We just don't have to let them in.

Lesbianism is a trend...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
The most idiotic thing I have ever heard.Of course I'm not being offencive or anything, but you're really out of place.
How can something you ARE be a trend.

Having feelings for the same sex is not a trend. It's just evidence of your bi/homosexualism.Nobody 'chooses' to be a lesbian(well I know a friend who has..and she's happy about it) but generally you just eventually understand that you where from the start..

You have been going on a rampage of false opinions, while being rude to several members which are well-respected here.If you want to talk and not be consider a troll, just talk AFTER thinking, and be able to accept other peoples' opinions, just like I'm STRIVING to understand your logic..

Btw, probably the best reply you got here was by Stuponfucious.
Bars are NOT a place to just start a conversation with a person you don't know.If I go over to a woman at a bar, it's natural for her to assume I'm after her vagina!! XD

And lastly, before I follow Etoile and pass the bridge, maybe if you weren't so offensive, lesbians wouldn't be elitistic.Cause I tell you, most people I know are elitistic next to willfully ignorant people. And I don't know many GLTB people..

Megadeth, I do not recognize your view of lesbians. If you have had some bad experiences with lesbian women, I'm sorry. I've had several bad experiences with straight men, but that doesn't give me reason to condemn all straight men. As a matter of fact, I have mostly straight male friends and they're all wonderful, respectful people. Please don't make men look bad by acting like a immature child. Since that would undoubtedly lead to a lesbian version of yourself annoying a bunch of straight guys in a forum somewhere.

And if you expect us to believe that comments like...

they have never told me to fuck off and I never pester lesbians at bars. It aint hard to be a lesbian today. Just follow the fashion, act all liberal, poetic, artistic and how you are looking for true love. Lesbianism is just a trend easily comparable to hula hoops or hush puppies.

...are not intended to provoke people (ie, "troll") then you must think we are really stupid. Please, if you want to discuss this seriously, do so. Present sensible arguments and be respectful. Otherwise, please leave.

I've never been trendy before. I am kind of enjoying my new found elitism. :p

You obviously don't live in the South.

I'm happy to back you up on that. Anybody who doesn't like it can file a complaint with Laurel or take it to the GB.

There is no statement more anti-lesbian than scoffing at a woman's identification as such. Denial of the reality of our existence is the ultimate expression of homophobia.

Queersetti, I think Megadeath only loves the "sound of his own voice." And Megadeath, a trend is something that comes in for a while and dies out.. Lesbians were on this planet before you came onto it and they'll be here when you're off it...Does that sound like a trend to you? Its not like you just wake up one morning and go "oh I think I'll be gay this week."

Some men think they can un gay lesbians, can you blame them for acting hostile towards men who keep bugging them saying they`ll make them straight?

I could ungay Queersetti and he could ungay me but the effect would only last about 15 minutes, so why bother.

I have never been a bitch toward men just because they ask me to dance or to buy me a drink. I simply say no thank you. If they persist I say I am not interested or that I am with friends. I rarely even mention that I am lesbian (never?).

Straight men who do persist even knowing a woman is gay, are simply trying to save face and avoid ego loss. They are well aware they will not succeed but there is no ego loss when a lesbian rejects their advances as there would be with a straight woman. "Oh, you would go with me if you weren't gay."

I do not know where megadeth found or met lesbians who were "elitists" or if his entire experience with homosexuals is from internet boards and chatrooms. I do know that few of my friends, partners and associates would ever treat a straight male poorly unless he began making rude comments. Even then we normally back away from confrontation instead of creating a scene.

As far as trends go, homosexuality has never exactly been trendy. There is a bit of a trend among teens/youth today to claim to be bisexuals, even though few have had same-sex encounters; few of these people will remain bisexual after high school or college, most falling either into the straight category or becoming exclusively gay.

Now, I am finished with this thread, and I don't even care if my comments are read, ignored or deleted.

Saying lesbianism is a trend is like saying eating food is a trend, living in houses is a trend, wearing shoes is a trend. Sapphic poetry was written before the Illyiad. Not only does lesbianism pre-date the word "trend" it has literature pre-dating Alexandrian Greece. To call your statement simply ignorant would be like saying World War 2 was a tiff.

Considering how I've been approached by straight men (I'm not generalizing, I'm not saying all, this is a very specific population) I've got to say it's very hard not to feel superior. As recently as last night, I had a young man approach me and say "Wanna be my girlfriend?" While this is a lame pick up line to begin with, I also happened to be wearing a rainbow coalition necklace and GLBTA t-shirt with the words "gay" and "lesbian" nicely spelled out on my chest. I said "I don't think so." and he actually had the mental insufficiency to ask "why not?" while staring at my chest. I guess it's hard to read the word Lesbian when it's on breasts.

What would you like me to say? That these people don't exist? That they are easy to ignore? That they don't make all straight men look bad? Honestly all men should be angry as hell about the portion of the population that keeps hitting on lesbians. Why are you upset with the gay women for not always being gracious about it? Be upset with the morons that are making your whole gender look stupid. Next time you see a guy hitting on a lesbian ridicule the hell out of him so he doesn't do it again.

Shut up, nobody cares what you have to say anymore. We've moved on to other, more important, topics on this thread. Go back to being ignorant and ignored.
