What's the worst PM you've ever got?

I thing "worst PM" can be categorized in lots of ways.

The most obscene PM I ever got was from a stranger describing how he wanted to r@pe and murder me on a truck stop bathroom floor and break my glasses. The glasses thing seemed a touch too far.

The most upsetting was from someone I considered to be a friend. She'd been told some twisted truths by someone who didn't like me and basically detailed all the ways I wasn't who she thought I was and how much she didn't care for how I conducted myself on Lit. That one hurt a lot and still does.

But the worst are still the "Hey" "Sup?" "Wanna chat?" messages because they are just a waste. Getting a PM is always a little exciting, and then to get that in return. Boo.

I swear the guy forgets he has already violated my inbox, runs through an unabridged list of Litsters, and - *plink* - it's HotBrand's turn again.

Every time, I try to bat him away with put-you-down-gently quips to disarm him with harmless, not-interested, thanks-but-no-thanks humour.

Every time, I know he's fapping anyway.

Regardless.

I remember joking about emailing HR because the Vaseline they sent me to avoid chaffing (apparently, I work with no pants on, according to HoseLover00) means I keep slipping off the chair, and what an inconvenience it is to my work-life balance if I can't even maintain my balance in work.

He just continues, without batting a proverbial eye, while undoubtedly still batting his metaphorical eye. He doesn't even register what I said ... let alone why I said it.

There's something really depersonalising about that. It doesn't matter what you say or do, you're the target of that dick beating. You're almost an incidental witness to it. He's invoked the idea of you and he wants to get off on it. You don't get to say no because he doesn't need you to say yes. He just wanted you to know you're there. Regardless.

... your consent is not optional; your consent is not needed ...

It's supremely disappointing, y'know? I don't even know if I can articulate it well. It just ... yeah.
 
To add to the pile — I just had someone who I thought was decent basically tell me that what I’m doing is wrong, and if I ‘don’t let down the walls, nothing good will happen’. And basically kind of felt like he was making me feel like the abuse I’ve lived through thanks to my exes…. Was my fault because I’m as the one who was attracting and choosing them, when I never once even tried to find them…. So now abuse victims are to blame for the fact that their abusers were abusive…. THAT IS ON THEM! Not us! >.< *sighs* I’m just done for today. :(

OH Yeah, and don’t forget — choosing to read into what I had said and acting like I said something I didn’t and then saying it like it was fact. Don’t put words into my mouth that I did not say!! I’m so pissed off right now.

same!!! Plus the fact he felt the need to send me a message warning me not to respond - so be got the last word - as he was totally nice to me and I wasn’t but if I responded — he’d go off on me. -.- I. HATE. MEN. SOOOO. FUCKING. MUCH!! -.-
 
The worse pm I received was a response to a question I made to someone I was already talking to. I had come across a response of his in a thread that made me wonder whether I misunderstood what he said so I asked him in private and he got defensive about it so he sent me this very long message telling me I was never to contact him again and a bunch of other things which included that I wasn't smart or literate enough to even talk to him 😂😂😂😂
