What happened to cymbidia? Answer here...

Hey there everybody,

I spoke to b the night before last. She's going through an enormous shakeup to her life right now, perhaps the most devastating yet. All will be fine in the end, but for now she's got to focus her energy on her personal life.

She told me she's gotten a lot of email and PMs from concerned and caring people here, but right now it's all she can do to look at them; she just doesn't have the energy to answer at the moment.

So, please know that she's not avoiding anyone, she's just overwhelmed with RL concerns. She'll be back, I assure you. As she has tried to care about so many here, please keep her in your thoughts, even if you aren't getting a response or don't attempt to contact her at all.

Update

I spoke to cym again this evening, and she definitely sounded better than the last time we spoke (Thursday). The problems in her personal life are going to be difficult and slow-going to resolve, but at least it appears that progress is being made, and she once again sounds fiesty and spirited rather than overwhelmed and devastated.

Her computer is now officially kaput, so she has gone from receiving but not answering email/PMs to not being able to see them at all. So, if you've been attempting to contact her online, she likely hasn't seen it yet, and won't for a little while longer.

She said she should be back in a week or two. And I've saved the links to the threads I started about her, so she can see all the concern for her in her absence when she returns.

I've received an enormous volume of PMs with messages for cym in the last couple of days. I'm doing my best to pass everything along, but if yours gets missed, don't take it personally, okay? I'm not accustomed to being someone's message center.
