What goes too hard for you?

I saw it, and I recently read the novel on which it was based.

I would agree that it "went too far" in the sense that the subject matter was so crazy and repellant that it was impossible to find it really erotic. But I could appreciate it on a removed level, as a creative story about what other people, not me, find erotic.
Crash was interesting, more as an example of film making than a story that appealed. I found it rather weird and not particularly interesting to watch so it totally lost me as a viewer.

Has anyone seen the 1996 movie called "Crash?" It's been a long time since I've seen it so I don't remember a lot but I think that's a situation of taking it too far. People in the movie get turned on by car crashes and being in car crashes.
Crash was directed by David Cronenberg, who always has an edge on his movies. It starred Deborah Kara Unger, who has one of those intense sexual personas, who smouldered in that movie. James Spader was the leading man.

I think it worked better as a novel, because then you didn't have to picture more of the crashes than you were comfortable with, while still getting the eroticism.

I think the same about many unnerving books - as words, they are manageable, when filmed, they become horror not in the way intended.

That was obviously implied.

Drafts edit of all three episodes.

If it's any help, there's some speculation that the appendix evolved to be a resevoir for useful bacteria to rebuild gut flora.

And I checked out the story you mentioned. The FMC and her friend getting strung up like a macaroni necklace was... quite something.
