From the London Times
"THURSDAY JANUARY 31 2002
BY PETER RIDDELL
HEALTH has leapt to the top of the public’s priorities as interest in the campaign against terrorism fades, the latest MORI poll for The Times found."
Blair has been under constant pressure to stay in the UK more and sort out our domestic problems. And he's got plenty to sort out.
Whether he can do this and still act as roving ambassador for Bush, a role he obviously relishes, only time will tell. As the BBC said during the night the US has made the change in Afghanistan but Britain is charged with keeping the change in place.
Bush, now concentrating on the Phillipines, will still need all the help he can get. If Tony doesn't give it to him, who else is willing to take over the role?
Methinks not many other countries.
Except possibly the Russians...
Now that's a point to ponder. What will the "commie bashers" think of that?
