Happy Saturday gang! Its been kinda slow in here since yesterday, huh?

Jewelz, I know at this point you are loving every minute of being in your husband's arms. Enjoy your weekend with him.

Hellos to the rest of the gang....Im sorry I seem to be so hit and miss lately, its been a rough couple of weeks.

Well, I dealt with a mini drama this week. I got the official offer from the company I work with on Tuesday so I was very excited. It was an excellent salary offer as well as full benefits, retirement plans, good PTO, etc, etc. And then at the end of the meeting, they casually give me a form to do a drug test. First of all I was not at all expecting it. But then I was thinking this is no big deal. I'm clean. But then it hit me; last week when I was having back spasms a friend gave me some vicodin to help out, so it wasn't my prescription. I took 5 pills over the course of 3 days, Sunday being the last day that I took one. So I freaked in my head because I knew they were testing for illegal as well as controlled substances. I was so upset, to think that I would mess up this excellent opportunity because of this. The timing could not have been worse. So Wednesday until yesterday, I was on pins and needles praying to God that it was all out of my system, that I would pass. I think I did because they haven't contacted me to rescind the offer. Each day that passes, Im a little more confident. But that will teach me a valuable lesson!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend! Nigel's father and stepmother are coming in to town tonight to see him perform so it will be a night filled with family. It should be fun.

I know how you feel with the pain!!
Ive been in pain these past few weeks too
and its all your fault!!!!
Ive been missing you!!!
Great to see you posting again!!!

Hi Oman! Hope you and Jenny are having a great weekend! :D

HI dreammmmy. A great weekend except for the storm this morning. It scared jenny almost as much as seeing me for the first time. We even lost power.

For you,

A long-married couple came upon a wishing well. The wife leaned over, made a wish and threw in a penny. The husband decided to make a wish too. But he leaned over too far, fell into the well, and drowned. The wife was stunned for a moment, but then smiled; "It really works!"

Well damn...guess there will be no marathon bingo sessions for Fiesty...I'll have to find something else to fill my time huh? ;)

Happy Sunday evening!

Just finished with a round of nasty storms here...wind, hail (who says it doesn't snow in FL?), power outages, wild fires set off by lightening........I can sure think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Now thats a good law!!! I hate margarine! It grosses me out.

I hope y'all are having a good weekend. :rose:

I think I am allergic to avacados. I had mexican food with guacumole both Friday and Saturday nights and both nights I felt really sick after, but last night was really bad. I actually got sick to my stomach and Nigel got to witness me vomiting for the first time. Well, he witnessed me vomit, then cry, the vomit again, then cry some more while squeezing my eyes shut 'cause I didn't want to look.... I obviously don't handle it well. He was a total trooper and took care of me though.

Good news on Nigel's front...he found out today that he is getting the part he wanted (the part of Nicely Nicely) in Guys and Dolls and so as soon as this show closes for him, he will begin rehearsals for the next one. He was thrilled and actually did the happy nekkid dance this morning when he got word. Im so proud of him! :)

Anyone hear from SSG tonight?

There was a tornado by Andrew, Alberta - where SSG lives - though I hear there was no damage or injuries.

Though we got flooded over here. I lost my synthesiser.

Wow, it would appear it has been bad weather all over! Bad luck on the synthesiser......didn't you just buy that in the past year or so? :( And if you run accross SSG before he pops in here, please tell him to let us know he is OK......

Hey all. Yes the whether has been nuts all week. Yesterday was the second day in seven we've been in "tornado watch" mode around here. But we're fine, no damage to our property at all and everyone is well. Actually I think we just missed the srtong part of the storm where I am becasue we seemed to miss most of the severe stuff last evening, but I do hear there was a twister a few kilometers away. As far as I know there wasn't much real damage, that's the one good thing about a tornado in a rural area, there is a much smaller chance of it hitting anything. So anyway all is well.

SSG glad that you are ok and that ya'll didn't receive any damage.

Congratulations to Nigel and NG. Hope you are feeling better NG.

Hi to all the TCers. Hope all ya'll have a great week.

If only it were that easy... -sigh-

Yeah, my dad should send me the pics to my computer so I can upload them to show all of you what my street looked like. It looked like an arctic river with all the hail and mist!

On the news tonight they called it a "once in 200 years" storm. I've certainly seen nothing like the flooding that happened, and I remember the "black friday" 1989 tornado that hit the south side of Edmonton very well. Last night they showed three guys paddling down a street in Mill Woods in a canoe lol.

People were canoeing down the street 2 blocks from my house. Thankfully my house was on one of the highest points for the next few blocks.

The tornado in 87 was more of wind than anything else. I was half a mile from that twister, and the hail was never as bad as this. I took a tour today and was amazed to see all the mud and trees. I saw a few trees who had all of its leaves stripped from the hail.
