It was slow in here last night becasue a certain group of people decided to put on a retardation festival last night and spam out all the other areas of the board. As far as I can tell from having stopped by last night the moderators locked down the whole board for the evening to prevent too much of a scene. So that's why so little has gone on around here since last night, because you couldn't post much of anything. If you scan back to about page 3 there's a bunch of their threas there but if you open them there's nothing inside because of the lockdown, you couldn't post any content last evening as far as I can tell. Why people waste so fucking much of their time and of everyone else's is beyond me, but no skin off my back for it in the end since it not like they even got anything to show for it. To each their own I suppose.

Jeez, it only takes a few to spoil things for the rest. Beyond me why anyone would have so little to do and be so mean as to trash a board like this.....or any board for that matter. I put them in the same catagory as those assholes who write viruses and bots.

Hope you are having a better day than your past evening appeared to be :rose:
 
Hardly affected my evening at all, or for that matter hardly affected most anyone really. Feel the irony. :D

Which board was locked down? The Playground? I know the GB definitely wasn't. Pretty much the only option you had was to create a thread, and when you did, all you had was a title and no post inside. So people were talking back and forth to each other via thread titles. There was some pretty funny shit over on the GB, but of course when it was brought over here people got offended. :rolleyes:

The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day outside....and I'm off tomorrow! :D Gonna spend the day with the kids at the pool (if it doesn't rain) and hopefully come home a couple shades darker. ;)

Yes, and what an amazing "coincidence" that this happened to occur (for the first time in lit history) at the same time as one of the GB's organized "playground raids" as they call it - the first time in six months they've done so. ;) I don't care if an official announcement was made or not. The boards was locked down to prevent a ton of content from getting posted that would have started nothing but trouble, which of course was the idea.

Yeah immagine that, people getting pissed off about getting spammed out of a board by a lot of losers with way too much free time. After some of the totally ridiculous shit that got posted during the last one of these (rather large amounts of outright offenseve crap) I'm certainly greatful for whoever prevented any content from being posted - official announcement made or not. It probably saved a lot of people a lot of trouble, and saved those of us who want no part of this nonsense having to wade through such classics as the "eat broken glass and die game" upon our return.

Good morning to you and to everyone else. Hopefully it's less rainy where you all are. Been raining all week here. I guess we need the rain, but still it would be nice to see the sun sometime this week. :)

I try to stay right here on the playground and play NICE with all my friends....except of course when I post a pic or 2 ,,then I sometimes 'wander'..however I try my very best to stay AWAY from those ppl on the GB cause they have their own group of Problems obviously and I certainly DONt need to waste MY valuable time on them or their lame ass comments ..LOL

its been nothing but rain up here also ..and we NEED some Sunshine!!
 
SSG, I'm not sure if you understood what I was trying to say when you separated my response. When I said "So people were talking back and forth to each other via thread titles." I didn't mean it like so what, this is what they were doing. I was just stating how they were communicating. My belief on your statement about the Playground raid is that the raid started after the servers screwed up and you couldn't reply in a thread.

Do you know how they were able to lock down the Playground and not the GB? Is it because the Playground has moderators and the GB doesn't? And where was this official announcement made? I do agree with you on one thing, something like "eat broken glass and die" is totally unappropriate and should have been deleted.

Yes it's been very sunny here this week, not much rain at all. Right now I'm really hoping for some rain soon, my grass could really use it.

Dream - Of course it's your choice, just like everyone else has a choice about where you do or don't post. Me, I just come here to read and sometimes post with other people who I find interesting.
 
CF - I should have been more clear myself. The Playground was experiencing just what the GB was, as was all of Lit that night. You could start a thread, but you couldn't post content in it. It's possible it was a server breakdown, but if it was it was a strangely timed one and I'm not big on coincidences myself. Still I agree it's possible it was a server breakdown and nothing else. The raid did start after the issue bagan, but from the look of it, it would have started regardless. Some of the thread titles of choice made that clear enough, because it had little to do with asking about server brekdowns and a lot to do with spamming up that area of the boards.

The "eat glass" thing was an example I remember from the last "successful" raid a few months back because it was just so blatant, not from last night. I never minded though, because I got about 25 people onto my ignore list from it lol. I'm sure there was plenty of nasty stuff posted a couple days ago that I missed because of that ignore list too. But as usual it's really 1% or less of Lit (or maybe even the GB) that I have any problem with. I've probably given these people too much text as it is, certainly more than it's all warranted.

No matter, on with the day.

Where is the SUN? I miss it, lol.
