I see in a few of your posts.. You use the word "geeked". Now I have searched every online dictionary.. and i find NO such word.

I found geek

Pronunciation: 'gEk
Function: noun
Etymology: probably from English dialect geek, geck fool, from Low German geck, from Middle Low German
Date: 1914
1 : a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken or snake
2 : a person often of an intellectual bent who is disapproved of
- geeky /'gE-kE/ adjective

Can you please.. explain to me how you can be "geeked" about someone being on tv?

Do you mean, that tomorrow morning you are going to be biting heads of chickens or snakes off while watching Reg?

It makes no sense to me...

This is NO way a flame.. or a form of harassment, it's just a question... :)

LOL. The only reason I knew was because that's my little brother's new word of the week.

When my peer group used it, it meant Really fucking high as hell when we were smoking weed.

Maybe I need to hang out more often with my 14 year old son...

My god.. i hated it when my mom wanted to know what every word meant.. *L* I've turned into my mother.. someone.. please shot me!

:D

The progress of Language...

always starts at the bottom and works its way up.

Street slang one moment, becomes common usage the next and finally a dictionary definition.

Unless you're French who are lumbered with the Academie Francaise where a word is created by committee and then passed down to the people.

The people then create a slang word around it until it becomes common usage and finally a dictionary definition.

"geeked" is a word in common usage among the younger set. Another few years you'll see it listed in the dictionary and other "learned" tomes...

:)

geeked

To be 'geeked' down here in NZ would if something weird had spooked you.

But then down here you can ask someone if you can "Bum a Fag". If they were a nice person and had some on them, they would. :)

hehe... aussies need to be careful bumming cigs in the US, they might get more than they bargained for!

Yep, I learnt not to use that frase from a friend who got a black eye after only having been in the USA ten minutes in a LA airport,
lol

P.S. New Zealand and Australia, two different countries.

"shit i've lost my fags".
