Things you should like. But you don't.

Peanut butter? Really?? Crunchy peanut butter I don’t like. I’ve found off brand works best for cookie baking.

I hate the terms “nut butter” and “bone broth.” Quit trying to be fancy! Lol

I only like crunchy but I ate peanut butter sandwiches almost daily as teen and got myself kind of burned out on it.

I love peanuts to such an extent that adding buttery feel to it kills my mood . Haha.
And I hardly use butter to cook. Not that I do much cooking.

Yeah I have no idea what is a 'bone broth' except for fancy alliteration. Haha. I can see how one would dislike the terms .

I used to know a woman that hated butter.

Huh. You strike me as someone who would be a gourmet cook!

It's a genetic thing. "For those cilantro-haters for whom the plant tastes like soap, the issue is genetic. These people have a variation in a group of olfactory-receptor genes that allows them to strongly perceive the soapy-flavored aldehydes in cilantro leaves."

Which is a shame, because for those of us without that sensitivity, cilantro, or as we call it here in the UK, coriander, is wonderful, fresh tasting, a lovely green hit in a salad or curry.

It's the same with whether you perceive that asparagus makes your wee smell funny. Some people just can't smell it, or don't produce the smell, or something. I love asparagus, but the after effects are disconcerting, to say the least.

In other news (sorry, this is really long!) I also love, love, love yoghurt, especially Greek yoghurt, and I adore to pull meat off a bone with my teeth.

I'll get my coat.... :D

Oh asparagus is the worst. I'm not a spitter but I have to spit that out. I love most vegetables and keep trying to like that but I don't.

Mango - I mean, it’s everywhere, it’s a fruit, and most people seem to love it. I just...don’t!

Coffee flavoured things. I love a good cup of coffee but coffee in anything else -yuk

I really dislike cheese, which apparently makes me super weird. To me its just congealed chunks of sour milk. No, thank you.

I also used to live in the part of NJ where Bruce Springsteen is from, and *everybody* loved him and his music. I get the appeal, but was never really a fan, which is fightin' words to some people. Since I moved away from that corner of NJ it's become much less of a problem.

Haha, I am not sure though about that, but I am very specific about how food tastes on my tongue, both, while eating and once I am done eating. I am too lazy to learn or ever cook, but when I attempt something, try to be faithful. But a cook is a long shot. My biggest concern is cleanliness after I am done cooking, I want the kitchen to be slick neat all along the cooking time which is a headache at times. :D

THANK you! I missed out on cheese as well, as that I something I despise for its smell and that strong musky taste I feel everytime I eat.
My sandwiches are without cheese ;) People stare at me when I push cheese away.

I don't like those or papayas. I actually don't like most fruit.

I agree papayas smell weird, again that musky scent that just feels settled and intense. Same reason for many fruits.

Is there something that you think you should or would like? But after you've tried it, you realize you don't. Could be anything. Not just sex.

One thing for me is hash browns. Especially when they boast of being extra crispy. I love potatoes and I love (but only some) French fries. Hash browns always look wonderful in the picture. But when I get them at a restaurant or even try to make them at home, they always disappoint.

They're never crispy but sometimes the very outside is so hard and tough that I can't cut through them. They usually are not hot when I get them and most of the time they are just greasy and anemic. Ick.
When you make hash browns at home, do you follow a recipe? Do you dry the shredded potatoes with a paper towel before frying them? Don't give up. Experiment a little after you are able to make them crispy. Add some diced onions or garlic.

Cake - I don't like the spongy texture. Same for donuts and pancakes. Most things for me involve texture turnoff rather than taste turnoff. Regular yogurt is another, though I do love Greek style. Ripe banana- needs a hint or more of green. Lima and large kidney beans, though every other bean is perfectly fine.

Ugh, hashbrowns are the worst way to eat potato.
Homefries are far superior.

Papayas and kiwi.....just keep them away from me please
Corned beef and not just the canned stuff. I can't even look at it without gagging.
And I may be the only Pennsylvanian who can't stand scrapple.

I usually buy the frozen ones.

I have never liked cakes or most donuts. Wouldn't eat pancakes when I was younger. Can't eat them now because eggs don't agree with me. Bananas? Don't like but if I have to eat one, it has to be green.

Those beans, I like. Don't like Fava Beans.

Cheesecake. I can’t stand the texture. I wish I liked it bc it seems everyone does. But..meh

Hash browns are fucking amazing. How many drunken mornings Waffle House hash browns have saved me. I usually get them smothered, covered and topped. If you people dont know what that is I suggest you start living a little.

Guacamole and salsa... everyone on the planet loves that shit...but I don't. I like hot sauce,,, and will sometimes dip chips into the liquid of the salsa...but something about salsa bothers me. Same with guac....

Interesting how it all seems to be about food. I guess mine would be beetroot. It's not even that I dislike the taste, I just find the colour and the way it stains everything to be very unappetising which puts me off ever eating it

Eggplant, in any shape or form. It has no taste and it's just mush. Funny, in my Italian family we never had it, but it's such a staple in Italian cooking.
