DOOD

NES rules. Double Dragon II and Bionic Commando will always be two of the greatest games ever. Not to mention the plethora of other great old Nintendo games.

I have an original atari and quite a few games for it.

So having atari games doesn't make you old Freakygurl. ;)

Double Dragon 1 and 2, any of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, Mario of course kicked ass, Tetris and Dr. Mario were great to keep my parents busy :D

Oh my God... I didn't know Double Dragon 2 was on the NES... I had that on the old Amstrad CPC 464 I had years back... hehehe, and I got that when it was brand new (and I'm only 19, hehe)

It's times like this that I wish I had put all those old games onto disc and bought a disc drive for it... Elite was one of the best games ever made.

Heh, I had Teenage Mutant Hero Turles on the Amstrad... they left a flaw in that game in that you couldn't actually attack below a ledge to kill the first boss (can't remember his name, heh). I know how you're meant to kill him, as my mate did it on the Commadore. Heh.

As for Dr Mario... we still have that, and my mum STILL plays it, hehe, I'm so glad that the SNES is in my sisters room and not mine :).

Anyone remember Plok? :)

I'm not saying the GC is bad...just saying that I still don't think it's worth the money for a handful of games...I mean...it could very well still go the way of the 64...what with Nintendo's views on mature games and selling Rare and lack of interest in the internet. Oh...don't forget Battletoads on that old nintendo list.
I got Double Dragon 2 when it was brand new too.:D

Thats what has kept Nintendo from being a real powerhouse still.. they target too young a crowd that really can't shell out money unless the parents allow it.

On the note of mature games, another one that I can not wait for and am gonna buy the first day it's available: Mortal Kombat 5!!

No Baraka.. but in a pinch Scorpion will do...

*coughs* I repeat, Resident Evil, nobody is telling me Ninty are aiming at just a young crowd with this one, not with exclusive rights to the Resident Evil series.

GC is going to be one to watch.

Of course in all honesty, the one that is more likely to last would be X-Box, simply because of Gates' view, if you can't beat it, buy it. Anyone thinking he wont try and buy out Ninty or Sony (well Sony's console side of things I'd guess) think again, he's probably thinking about it already.

Still, all the consoles have good points and bad points, as long as the console you buy has games you enjoy, let nobody tell you it's crap :).

DOOD...again

Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance looks like it's going to be so cool. I'm hoping it will be. God knows there are enough MK's out there that suck, we deserve a good one.

MK 4 was brrruuuuTAL!! MK3 wasn't bad... but all the -alaties were starting to get annoying. I didn't mind the Sub Zero game that came out for PS, but of course MK fans want just plain ol blood and fatalaties.. Looks like MK5 may give that to us!

My thread can't die!

C'mon people, I know there are more gamers out there than this. Let's hear it.

You know...I never really bought any games...because I would always rent them from block buster...beat them and return them so I won't have to waste my money on them.

I like my PS2, I wish my computer could run UT2003, and I really like my GBA. All the really nice games from the late 80s and early 90s are coming back or being continued: Altered Beast, Super Mario 2 and 3, the Castlevania series, Metroid, and quite a few more. I wouldn't be surprised to see Commander Keen (And not just in the secret room in Doom II, either).

I have everything but the xbox.

But I am a RE addict.

I have every one of the games, including RE:Survivor, except RE0 which I plan to get as soon as I am able to buy it.

But out of all of them the Cube is for me,but then again I'm biased as the RE is only going to them.

I have palyed every single Final Fantasy game there is, including the original 2 and 3 for the Famicom, which were never released in the US. I bought Final Fantasy Chronicles and Final Fantasy Anthology as soon as they were released, and I can only hope that the Wonderswan Color makes it overseas so I can get the redone versions of FF 1, 2, and 3 (too expensive to import and I can't read Japanese).

Other than that, River City Ransom and Super Dodgeball for the Famicom are great and highly addictive. Not to mention the Dragon Warrior/ Quest series.

Anyways, I know where you can get almost any Famicom or Super Famicom game online, so PM if you want to know.

NextGen Represent !

Just poking my nose in ....

As a female gamer I am fortunate to have a fiance who loves games as much ( more maybe ) as I do. We currently own all the NextGen systems as well as most of the classic systems.

SOCOM: US Navy Seals is our current fav on PS2 closely followed by WipeOut Fusion.
( Too many games, not enuff time )
(( SOCOM is my current fav because it won me a spiffy new PS2 and a SOCOM T-shirt ))

We just got in X-Box live and should be getting our Beta kit this afternoon.
( HURRY UP UPS DAMNIT !!! )

GG: Mario Sunshine & Animal Crossing, Eternal Darkness ( God I love the insanity effects !!!! )

Halo 2 - It's gonna be online.... how much more can Halo rock ????

We are not much into RPG's.

LTR - when RE goes online .... I am going to bite you and turn you into a zombie *WEG*

:D

Games?

I got my first Atari in highschool....I think I was 17, and paid $200 for it when space invaders first came out. I still have it, it works, and have about 50 tapes or games for it. My favorite of course was called HERO(or human, emergency, rescue, operation) by activision. Where you rescue trapped miners in mines, via a helicopter backpack, laser, and a stash of dynomite. I believe it is every bit as challenging as today's games working within the very limited 8K of memory those old machines had.

My old NES suffered the typical fate of worn game contacts with the grey screen problem. My favorites there included the original final fantasy which I still have, Zelda, and Legend of Kage. I still have my super nintendo too, which I only have 7 games left, and the mario games were the ones you could play over and over and not get tired of them, also street fighter was fun too. Not to mention NBA jam from time to time. Over the years I rarely have time for games like I did in my twenties, usually household chores take over much of that living in an apartment free time.

I always am interested in hot games of the day, and of the news breakers like Acclaims BMX XXX. Which reminds me of the X rated games of the atari age such as custard's last stand(yes they had them too). Games are fun, but as life changes so will your free time(mostly against your will),and although this isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. It is just another part of the evolution of life, and whom each of use has yet to become.

See, this is what I'm talking about. And so far as RE online goes, that game is scheduled to come out on PS2 so far...and not GC. So I'll be turning you all into zombies:cool:

I remember playing 'Hack' on PC back in 88 just before color monitors came out...it was quite addictive until I figured out how to cheat.

In this house Mario rules...

You would have thought that internet connection/playability would have been number 1 priority in setting up the three big ones (PS2, Xbox, NGC). We are just now seeing the flicker of these

It pissed me off that NGC wasn't DVD compatible...and still isnt yet!

Innocent and I are going to get that game most definatly

I only do PC gaming, don't own a console. I play all the role playing games, but I stay away from the online ones because I know they would eat me whole. I find I have a couple games I always come back to:

Sid Myers Alpha Centauri and the Alien Crossfire expansion
Heros of Might and Magic 4
Deus Ex
