Bored out of my shoes, I've been burning the midnight oil those last days watching the US Open tennis, airing from late evening to early morning CET. And it struck me immedialtely how incredibly fucking hot all the players are. Even what would be considered the plainer looking ladies and gentlemen are sexy as hell.

I came to the conclusion that this is because the ideal tennis physique is well balanced. A long distance runner is extremely thin. A boxer is extremely muscular. A high jumper extremely...oblong. The athletes on my tv right now are none of that. They just look like very healthy human beings.

Also, they dress nifty. Not too revealing like volleyball players or sprinters in jumpsuits, but rather like what you could wear to a relaxed late summer barbecue in your buddy's back yard. Shorts and a shirt for the gents, skirt and top, or a nice hugging (but not skimpy) summer dress for the ladies. (Have no idea why more women don't wear shorts. It can't be a dress code thing since some women do.)

Third, it's a tidy sport, where the combatants only gets a fashionable and intriguing sheen of sweat if they play too many tie-beaks. Have you even sen how long distance skiiers look when they collapse after passing the finish line? *shudder* Even tennis injuries are tidy. A pulled muscle here and a strained wrist there. No blood, bruses or breaking bones.

Yeah. Tennis is visual goodness.

Q: What's your favourite sport to watch, for the sake of oogling the athletes? And why? If you say chess or sumo wrestling, I'm dying for a motivation.

Liar, you're so sweet!
Me, I like to see a push past endurance. I like 'em muddy, sweaty, limping... :D
American Football, agressive skaters, the Kentucky Derby...

But, really, skill and style is what turns me on. I was pretty shocked to find myself responding to a boxing match one day- a bantamweight champion, named Prince Naseem Hamid who is a helluva showman and mean as pitch;

As a game, yeah.
But do they tickle your funny bone? Was under the impression you leaned the other way.

Too much padding to be spiffy, if you ask me.

Are you a Broncos fan Sarah?

Football is God's sport.

And I love the men who play it.

I'm 45 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium - Kansas City Chiefs. They have my heart and my overflowing lust for red and white uniforms covering well-muscled arms and firm backsides.

Oh, and I really love the game, too.

:cathappy:

(Actually, I do. I'm married to a Varsity coach - Defense: We Love Pain - and I truly love the sport.)

As an avid Broncos fan, I know all about Arrowhead and the Chiefs.

I'm a Broncos fan (if I have to watch football)

To oggle the players, I'd have to say gymansts. Theose men with their finely displayed packages, doing unreal things with their bodies only makes me wonder what sex would be like. I also love watching women's figure skating. Those chicks have great legs and nice asses:D *drool*

I have this urge to go take batting practice with my shirt off so my sport gets some play....

Remember, Bel, the question asked. What athletes do you ogle? (Not are you ogled.) Don't look at it personally.

hey, I ended up with kisses from Lady J....I'm quite happy now...

I kind of agree about tennis players...but in general, I have a great amount of appreciation for female athletes from a purely sexual point of view. Not only am I one who likes muscle tone and am not a fan of the emancipated look some models favor, but I can also say from experience that there are some wonderful things about a woman being physically active and in shape to play...

as a matter of fact, if I sit here and look back...by far the majority of my favorite ladies have had some kind of athletics in their background...

ok, been trying to think names...while avoiding the truly obvious, i.e. Kournikova

for purely personal, absolutely sexual, living-in-the-past type reasons. Oh yeah.
