The Great Dinner Throwdown

The weather is messy, so oven baked chicken fajitas.
(Chicken, red green yellow peppers and red onion, cut into strips. Toss into pan with 2 Tbsp of Olive Oil and fajita seasoning. bake at 400 for 40 minutes, stir after 20)

This is the seasoning recipe I use:

1 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 Tbsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

The leftovers make for good toppings on nachos.

Are you sure there's enough cumin?

I should make fajitas when my oldest is home. She loves them!

Get in line, bitch!

It was a nothing special dinner but it was very tasty. And I wasn't in the mood for fussy.

That looks very good. :)

Yes, but I draw the line at doilies.

You may not use doilies until you are 70. That's the rule.

Tonight I'm cooking a dish my Mom made for every party, death, move and 7 children. She made huge roasters for anyone to come and eat and fill their belly.

Hope you're doing OK Ma.

Open faced gyro. With diced tomatoes and green onions.

That looks good and I know it's open-face instead of wrapped, but it's almost a little too neat. ;)

The gyros you get here, are indulgently saucy, thick-filled, messy hand-held paradises that require many napkins plus acrobatic skills to eat them when walking down the street.

I found an amazing butcher, and bought these chili burger patties, with beans and cheese in the middle. They were delicious! Served with rocket and roasted pepper salad, and a handful of fries. Again, looked like a work of art but got scoffed[.b] before I thought to snap a pic.

I'm going to have to buy a freezer for the garage, just to buy more stuff from there to try.

..
Scarfed and it does sound scarfable. :)
