The Great Dinner Throwdown

Pity bump for puk.

Isn't nice that your mom hasn't kicked you to the curb yet and still has a shred of decency to bring you dinner and pay your bills?

She prays for you Kato. ("One day maybe...")

Another pity bump for Luk seeing as he could have just posted this in Thor's thread but decided to copycat Aglo's breakfast thread instead.

Well, I haven't been around in a while and didn't know thor had a dinner thread.

I found an amazing butcher, and bought these chili burger patties, with beans and cheese in the middle. They were delicious! Served with rocket and roasted pepper salad, and a handful of fries. Again, looked like a work of art but got scoffed before I thought to snap a pic.

I'm going to have to buy a freezer for the garage, just to buy more stuff from there to try.

A good butcher is a godsend. And so is a freezer in the garage.

Well, I have been a troll since I started here and my narcissistic ways blind me to anything else around. I haven’t been around in a while because I get banned all the time and it's a bitch coming up with new usernames and didn't know thor had a dinner thread.

It's okay, your mom pretends to love you. Oh, and she says hi! 👋

Luk was apparently getting lonely in his lockdown solitude so he came back to Lit to see if he could find a new girlfriend.

surprisingly, this 'can't be bothered to proper-cook because i'm bushed' supper turned out both pretty and super tasty. i raided the last-resort stash of canned goods... just goes to show what adding some nice ingredients to canned cheapo stuff can do:

big can chef boyarde mini beef ravioli (a very last resort!)
mix in a good amount of bacon bits and about half a jar of pimento peppers
put in oven proof dish and heat oven to 350.

in a bowl, mix chopped fresh onion, chopped fresh green peppers, shredded cheese (fiesta mix), cottage cheese, and chopped ritz crackers

top the ravioli with this, then sprinkle parmesan to taste.

cook in oven around half an hour or so till topping's golden brown, crispy but gooey underneath.

served with mixed canned corn and canned petite-pois (frozen peas would have been a brighter shade of green but i was out).

all in all, tasty comfort mulch. the onions and fresh peppers had their own touch of crispness as well as flavour, the ritz added the perfect amount of salt and crunch, the green peppers were a bright point of colour amidst the gold.

That sounds surprisingly tasty.

Thin crust pizza. Baked on the back of a sheet pan sitting in the oven at 450 for a while. With home made red sauce. And yes, that is ham, pineapple and black olives.

And it rocks. Best damn pizza. Ever.

That looks like most of my half sheets in the rack. Very well seasoned! I recently started replacing mine with Nordic Ware, natural aluminum sheet pans. I still keep the old pans because we've been through a lot together...

That pizza looks fantastic btw
:)

These are half sheets from the local restaurant supply. I've got a handful of them and I refuse to part with them. I've also got some quarter sheets. Handy things.

I'm stuffed. It was really good. And I have pizza for breakfast. :D

Adrina went up a few notches in my book...the perfect pizza combination. Try it with a light sprinkle of a cinnamon/nutmeg mixture.
