The Great Breakfast Throw Down

Yum. What makes them un-over easy? I like my eggs over easy so only the yolk is runny.

They don't get flipped over. :D

Medium heat. Put 'em in a preheated pan, cook for about a minute or so. Spoon a tiny bit of water on to surface of yolks. Cover. Cook for about another minute or so. No fuss, no muss. If you add too much water, just daub it out with a paper towel when they're finished cooking.

I have never heard the called that. I’ve always called them sunny side up.

Steamed! Also an excellent way to cook sausages.

Sunny side up keeps the yolks yellow on top. The steam from the water cooks the top of the egg. And no broken yolk from flipping.

Fried, then steamed. Yes.

Sausages are better steamed, then fried.

Ooooh. That is often how I do my sausages. I may give it a try. I like my yolk to be be broke.

I am impressed with the cooking skills here. I guess my little bowl of wheat chex is not going to impress many. At least it is easy.

That's one of the reasons I make them - sick of broken yolks in the pan. They cook too much and aren't runny anymore when that happens. Who cares if they break on the way to the plate. And plus, flipping the suckers can be a PITA.

Learned that from my grandma down south. That's how she cooked fresh kielbasa.

It's the only way to make sure they get truly cooked on the inside without overcooking them on the outside. And it also doesn't matter if they start out frozen if you do it that way.
