The Bulletin board is like the magazine rack at Barnes & Noble.

1000s of magazines there every day. If you go in one day and pick up a Todd Magazine, and it totally disgusts you, but yet each time to visit the store you run to the Todd Magazine and read it again, well, is it the magazines fault or your fault for being so stupid?

i think DCL went abit to far with his remarks ... i enjoy discussing with you WD and Markov and Todd and everybody but we can only handle so much discussion per day on political threads ... your not making any kind of point when you post these politcal threads over and over ... they just get ignored ... my advice was meant as friendly advice ... because i do enjoy the discussion and the banter ... you'd make a far better point if you posted slightly less political threads per day ... im not trying to set a rule or stop your freedom of speech im just giving you advice that you can listen too or ignore

What with this "bother you" thing? The constant barrage of Todd Magazines doesn't "bother" me. Just pointing out how dumb the magazine is. Ricki Lake doesn't "bother" me, but that doesn't mean it isn't lame television. And pointing out that you post articles rather than engage in dialogue doesn't mean I'm "bothered" by you...I just find it boring, and I said so. La-di-da.

Anyway, I'm done razzing you. I do find many of the topics interesting, I'm just not in a hurry to open so many. I'd rather hear your impression of something you read. But, hey, post the front page of the NY Times everyday, it's fine, truly. But why go to all the effort? Why even Register as a individual? Why not registers as a link? I like this place because of the diversity of the people and their opinions. I pretty much know what to expect from most of the posters. Even if I may not agree with their views, I sometimes read their posts if their topic interests me.

The thing that I really like about this place is that you aren't forced to buy into anything that you dislike. And, you even get to tell the author what you think about him/her without fear that someone will censor your remarks.

As far as I'm concerned, you can post what you like and I can chose to ignore it, if I want to. What more can you ask for??
