Tetanus shots just suck. My body feels all sick but I know I'm not. I know there's people here that are really honest to god sick, but damnit I don't get sick and now this shot's got me feelin like my couch is my best friend. And the terrible wind has given way to rain. We're in a flash flood warning and I can't find a radio station that is giving the EAS broadcasts. I need to go to the college and drop of a form from d's command so I can get discounted tuition and I hear that most of the roads here are closed due to flooding. Damnitall rain.

I know what you mean. Just when my husband and I first got together he was very sick from a bad reaction to a tetanus shot.

*HUGS*

It's flooding here :( We're not in evacuation warning, but the college is shut down and I NEED to turn in paperwork!!

That sucks majorly especially with a little one in tow. Permission to slap me if my question is the most inane you ever heard ........is it possible under the circumstances they will permit you to lodge the paperwork online with originals to follow ?

I am so freaken tired. K had to leave this morning for Anual Training (AT). The problem is he hasn't gotten around to getting a parking permit yet, so I had to drive him to the base, AT 6:30! I don't know what kind of sick person thinks that's a normal time of day to be up . . . wait what I am thinking of - this is the Army! They're all sick and weird. (No offense, Sphynx - I mean the CO's.)

Then I ran home, made the kids breakfast and went to pick up my niece at my sister in law's work. I called her and was reminded that my sister in law had the dya off and I was supposed to out to Estacada to pick her up. (My sis in law called on Sunday and told me, I just totally spaced it.) I didn't really have the gas to go out there again (the fort is by Estacada), nor the money to buy gas, so I told her never mind. I went home and folded some laundry them M showed up to take my daughter and her daughter (who I babysit) to their swimming lessons. Then my mother and father in law showed up to watch the kids. (I had a remicaid treatment today.) I waited for a bit for my friend, L, to show up and drive me to my appt, but she didn't so I got my father in law to drive me. Then L calls - turns out she had problems with traffic - there was a car accident that had division completely closed off.

Got to my appt and my regular nurse, Heather, is on vacation. So there's this new chick who has no knowledge of my history. I had to tell her to hotpack my hand, or she wouldn't be able to find a vein. Then I had to tell her that I get benedryl in an IV before the remicaid or I get hives. There was no order in my charts ( ), so she had to call my dr and get an order. Took her a half an hour to get me hooked up.

And since I was already tired the benedryl hit me harder than even normal. (See most meds make me sleepy. If they say they'll make you hyper - they make me sleepy. If they say they won't do anything - they make me sleepy, and if they say they'll make you sleepy they knock my ass out.) I slept like a rock till my infusion was over, stopped briefly to get a cookie, then went home. Luckily my mother and father in law ere willing to watch the kids while I napped. I forced myself to get up to make dinner, but I could sleep all day and night, I know it.

OOPS... I forgot who I was talking to... Ma'am. A thousand apologies.

I think that was a faux apology!

And I heart you too. But you know that.

Heart back at ya! I still need an ice bath!

The college was completely closed, no one was there to answer any questions. Thankfully it didn't rain today so I was able to drive down and drop it all off :nana:

<hugs> Gracie!! Sounds awful!

I learned that my MP3 player can't swim. This lesson brought to us today by my 15mo DS  I'm just hoping that once the coffee dries out of it that it will work again.....

Yeah my three year old thinks phones belong in the toilet. I've lost track of how many phones we've lost that way.

I feel like crap. Evidently there was a cold bug waiting for immune system to drop cause last night I was up three times putting vapo rub on my chest. I've been coughing and sneezing all freaken day. Plus I keep getting these nasty spasm's in my back, and I've got diarhea like you would NOT believe. (I'm bleeding, too. Hopefully it's just the stress of the accident and it'll go away.)

Then i got online and once again got someone who spent the entire time we were chatting complaining. Didn't even say 'how ya doin' or 'wassup' to me. Guess my 'friend' doesn't care. I don't mind listening, but I sure wouldn't mind if they at least pretended to care about me.

*Sends a BIG cyber hug to gracie* Cyber hugs are OK because I'm in Australia and you are in USA and it would have to be a pretty strong bug to make it all the way over here :rose:

Both of us have had colds, mine was pretty minor but Master Gil is still coughing up lurgies and it's been about 3 weeks  Several Aussie Litsters we know have had their kids coming down with all sorts of flus and stomach bugs too, and the kids have passed them on to the parents. Roll on warmer weather (though it isn't as cold here as it's been in New Zealand, and nowhere near as wet either!)

Grace, you need someone to put you into one of those many US TV shows where they scoop you up and take you away from all your troubles and reality for a few days at least and redo your house, or give you a makeover, or car or something good and better than a kick in the butt. :rose: Hope today starts to look up for you.

*hugs* for gracie, but the chocolate-covered cherries will have to wait until your cold is gone and you can actually taste them  (Germany is too far away for the bugs, too)
Get well soon!!! :rose:

*stopping by to leave a huggle and kiss for graceanne* So sorry you're having a nasty week ... I hope you're feeling better and more relaxed soon :rose:
