Donald Trump has cheapened the whole idea of the presidency

residents’ Week only serves to remind me that this is a very difficult time to be a presidential buff. I have been one since 1955 when President Eisenhower graciously responded to my “get well” letter following his heart attack. Not only did I receive a beautifully embossed card, which I actually thought he penned personally, but news of my card from the President was announced on the school “loudspeaker” as we called it back then.

One might say that I love all presidents. But I don’t. I am a liberal Democrat and although my favorites includes a few Republicans, most are progressive Democrats like FDR, Clinton,JFK and Obama. But I am fascinated by them all and enjoyed my visit to the Coolidge homestead in Plymouth Notch, Vermont as much as I did the LBJ ranch in Johnson City, Texas.

That is until now.

For me, Donald Trump cheapens the whole idea of the presidency. No, not just his politics which I abhor, but no more than I did those of Reagan or George W. Bush.

"Discount Donald" the man elected by the fact that Hillary couldn't sell herself to Wal Mart's base.

Cartoon Trump greets ‘disgraced sheriffs, spineless pastors, French Nazis’ to CPAC — where he roasts Romney

CartoonTrumpCPAC-300x161.png

Stephen Colbert’s Our Cartoon President Trump has released its own version of Trump’s CPAC speech.

“Welcome to my endorsement club, Mitt. You’re seated next to Roy Moore and his nieces,” cartoon Trump says. “”As a Mormon, Mitt can’t drink coffee. But apparently he can spit shine my nipples, all the way to the United States senate.”

Cartoon Trump of course discussed gun control.

“I want to make sure that only stable-minded people can buy a gun that would have single-handedly brought the Roman Empire to its knees. [One guy at Mar-A-Lago] mentioned that Australia banned big guns and now it’s overrun with scorpions and crocodiles.”

While America is overrun with Trumpinistias!

‘The end of his presidency’: John Dean says Rick Gates’ testimony could bring down Trump for good

“Mueller is throwing everything he can against Manafort, including Gates who can nail him,” Dean wrote. “Increasingly it appears Manafort is the link to Russian collusion.”

“If Gates can testify that Manafort was acting with Trump’s blessings, it’s the end of his presidency,” he added. “That’s substantial.”

Will Demented Don reach the 60th weak of his Presidency or will Pence have to order his execution? :)

Draft-dodging Trump says he would have personally stopped Parkland shooter ‘even if I didn’t have a weapon’

President Donald Trump, who infamously avoiding serving in the Vietnam War by citing “bone spurs” in his medical examination, said on Monday that he would have personally intervened to stop Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz.

“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon,” Trump said during a meeting with the nation’s governors, according to Associated Press reporter Zeke Miller.

"Blubber Boy," says What?

Stormy Daniels brings her whirlwind tour to LA

LOS ANGELES — The promotion on the Deja Vu strip club's Instagram said it all.

"No Hush Money Required here. SEE THE PORN STAR WORTH $130,000 BUT WILL ONLY COST YOU THE PRICE OF ADMISSION."

Stormy Daniels, who vaulted into the national spotlight as a result of her reported affair with Donald Trump, would be writhing — live on stage — at the North Hollywood club.

Patrons paid $25 to see her perform Saturday night.

Make America Gyrate Again! :D

‘If you’re guilty and you know it tweet some more!’: Internet hilariously mocks Trump’s rant on ‘WITCH HUNT!’

Some people celebrate All Caps Friday by typing in the letters known for virtual shouting. For President Donald Trump, however, every day is an all caps day.

The president went on a Tuesday morning Twitter rant citing days-old Fox News quotes that attack former Sec. Hillary Clinton and claim the investigation into his campaign and advisors is a “witch hunt.”

Those who observed Trump’s tweet had a lot to say in response.

“Tweet by @realDonaldTrump makes me think more indictments are coming,” said Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA). In the past, Trump has gone on Twitter rants that distracted people just prior to major news stories about him or his aides being published.

🎶If you're guilty and you know it tweet some more
If you're guilty and you know it tweet some more
If you're guilty and you know it, and can't help yourself but show it
If you're guilty and you know it tweet some more🎶

Internet shocked after Trump suggests he wants to ‘take the guns’ before due process: ‘The NRA’s head is exploding’

During a Wednesday press conference, President Donald Trump said he would prefer police “take the guns first” and “go through due process second” to prevent mass shootings like the one that happened on Valentine’s Day in Parkland, Florida.

“I like taking the guns early,” the president remarked amid lawmakers gathered for an announcement of a bipartisan school safety and gun control bill.

The best part about Trump saying "take the guns first and then do due process" is that I'm fairly certain he has no idea what the words "due process" mean

Anthony Scaramucci goes on all-out media blitz to convince Trump to fire ‘General Jackass’ John Kelly

Anthony Scaramucci, who was employed as Trump White House communications director for only eleven days before being fired by current White House chief of staff John Kelly, is once again ramping up his war to get Kelly fired.

Speaking with Bloomberg News’ Jennifer Jacobs, Scaramucci says that he is going on a media blitz to convince President Donald Trump that Kelly needs to go before morale within the White House completely collapses.

“Does the president want to lose everyone because of General Jackass?” Scaramucci asked, according to Jacobs.

Moral in the White House might improve if Donny the Dipshit left. That would improve my moral, for sure. :D

Rural Republican lawmakers revolt against Trump’s steel tax — and warn it’ll cost him at the polls

WASHINGTON — Another White House surprise, another Republican revolt.

GOP lawmakers from farming states sharply warned President Donald Trump Thursday that his decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports will cost Americans consumers — and could be devastating for him at the polls.

Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts, the Republican chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, struggled to find words to describe his emotions after being blindsided by Thursday's news that Trump would impose tariffs of 25 percent on steel and 10 percent on aluminum imports that sent stocks spiraling downward amid fears of a trade war.

"These are the people who voted for the president," Roberts said. "These are his people. One county in Kansas even voted for him 90 percent and they're not going to be happy at all about this."

Who's pissed now?

Trump says ‘trade wars are good and easy to win’

President Donald Trump spoke out defiantly Friday against global criticism of his plan to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, seeming to welcome the idea of a trade war.

“When a country (USA) is losing many billions of dollars on trade with virtually every country it does business with, trade wars are good, and easy to win,” Trump wrote in an early morning tweet.

“Example, when we are down $100 billion with a certain country and they get cute, don’t trade anymore-we win big. It’s easy!” the president wrote.

Trump’s tariffs intended as ‘middle finger’ to White House aides he no longer likes: report

President Donald Trump doesn’t like being told what to do, and he’s reportedly setting policies to thumb his nose at advisers who have lost his trust.

Trump has sidelined chief of staff John Kelly and economic adviser Gary Cohn and intends to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum, which he’s wanted to do since the campaign, to deliberately disrespect them, reported Axios.

“His staff at times managed to talk him off the ledge. No more,” reported Mike Allen and Jonathan Swan. “Tired of the restraints, tired of his staff, Trump is reveling in ticking off just about every person who serves him.”

Trump has grown to despise Kelly’s authority and purposefully bypassed his process to announce the tariffs, which triggered a stock market dip, and were intended as a “middle finger” to Cohn, the website reported.

Number two GOP senator nails Trump for hosting a ‘reality TV show at the White House’

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX) on Friday called President Donald Trump out without using his name during a Friday press conference in Austin.

“You may have noticed the reality TV show going on at the White House,” Cornyn told reporters, as documented by Texas Capital Tonight reporter Max Gorden.

“I don’t think trade wars are good,” Cornyn told reporters.

Cornyn was among a group of bipartisan lawmakers assembled Wednesday to discuss gun and school safety measures in a White House meeting. During that meeting, Trump suggested he’d like police to “take the guns first” and “do due process later,” a policy Cornyn rebuked yesterday.

“I don’t think it would stand up to judicial scrutiny,” Cornyn said during a weekly call, as per The Dallas Morning News. “That’s why I call it a brainstorming session. I think some of these were literally ideas off the top of the president’s head that do need to be further scrutinized for constitutionality and just practicality. That’s the job of Congress.”

The Donald just overflows with ideas, some bad and some Horrible!
