Hello All.

I've been traveling a lot lately, but wanted to drop in to say hello.

Discussion Topic - Morning Beverage of Choice

This morning, while drinking my "elixir of life" I was wondering what other Texans drink as their morning beverage of choice.

I must have 2-3 cups of coffee each morning to get me started. For a long time I preferred a dark roast such as a Sumatra. More recently my tastes have changed to a medium roast, "Donut Shop" style of coffee.

What is your morning beverage of choice?

I like flavoured coffees. If I am drinking plain coffee, it gets lots of sugar and cream. Wait, all my coffees get that :p On occasion I will have tea, if I have some very yummy bread to toast to go with it. And even more rarely I wake up and just want a glass of milk
Very, very special days, champagne :D

I require two cups of coffee in the morning to be able to function. If you want pleasant, I'll need a third cup (or a fourth).

I'm pretty much the same. I used to like a nice French Roast, Café du Monde being my favorite. But since my office uses only Starbucks and I can't stand theirs, I go with the milder breakfast blend and about a quarter cup of flavored creamer.

Has anyone seen the recipe going around that uses butter and coconut oil blended into coffee? Everyone raves about how delicious it is, but I'm kinda skeptical. Wondering how it really is.

Mmmm.. Sumatra. I used to buy that exclusively. But I've actually wanted stronger so have gone with Italian and French roast of late.

If (haha,, if :rolleyes) I am buying out, then I get the Flat White.

Love Coffee!!!

Hey all.

One of the doctors I work for does this. She loves it. I too unsure about it.

I haven't seen that but dang! that is a lot of fat, albeit natural, to load into your coffee.

Oh it is good for you but still incredibly high in calories, all from fat.
Changing the subject, I saw on the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails website that it's too early for them yet - after April 1 they expect them to start up.

Did you see the post I made on Saturday/Sunday from Texas Hill Country? There are different people posting sightings info on that FB page.

I REALLY need to take a drive into BLUEBONNET country.. :)

Yeah I definitely have to visit the hill country at some point this spring summer. I love it out there. :)

I did! They have them down there now, just not this far north yet. The family has just a few out in their "pasture" this week. Wanna go with me in a week or two?

Oooo... I may just!

Let me look at the schedule at work. I may need to drag my laptop along with me and make a stop at a Starbucks here and there to check on things.
