Duct tape could be interesting. Can be used for more than just fixing broken threads.

btw - many years ago I knew a chemist/engineer here in Texas that worked on the inventions of various adhesives. That lab help create both duct tape and Post-It Notes. Very different adhesives, but both sticky things.

Why yes, I have used it to bind other things...radiator hoses, for instance.
