This morning, while drinking my "elixir of life" I was wondering what other Texans drink as their morning beverage of choice.
I must have 2-3 cups of coffee each morning to get me started. For a long time I preferred a dark roast such as a Sumatra. More recently my tastes have changed to a medium roast, "Donut Shop" style of coffee.
What is your morning beverage of choice?

Mmmm.. Sumatra. I used to buy that exclusively. But I've actually wanted stronger so have gone with Italian and French roast of late. This morning, while drinking my "elixir of life" I was wondering what other Texans drink as their morning beverage of choice.

Has anyone seen the recipe going around that uses butter and coconut oil blended into coffee? Everyone raves about how delicious it is, but I'm kinda skeptical. Wondering how it really is.
I'm pretty much the same. I used to like a nice French Roast, Café du Monde being my favorite. But since my office uses only Starbucks and I can't stand theirs, I go with the milder breakfast blend and about a quarter cup of flavored creamer.

Hey all.
One of the doctors I work for does this. She loves it. I too unsure about it.

I haven't seen that but dang! that is a lot of fat, albeit natural, to load into your coffee.
Oh it is good for you but still incredibly high in calories, all from fat.The coconut oil is supposed to be really good for you, as is the (non-trans-fatty) butter. Still.
Changing the subject, I saw on the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails website that it's too early for them yet - after April 1 they expect them to start up.Oh it is good for you but still incredibly high in calories, all from fat.
Did you see the post I made on Saturday/Sunday from Texas Hill Country? There are different people posting sightings info on that FB page.Changing the subject, I saw on the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails website that it's too early for them yet - after April 1 they expect them to start up.

Yes, I just got back from a trip to Corpus. The roadside between San Antonio and the coast is literally carpeted with flowers right now... so beautiful!
I think I see a blue bonnet hiding behind the rest
