You know, I'm seriously curious to know how most people feel about this topic. Stroke stories vs love stories. What turns you on? What do you enjoy to read, and what makes you CRINGE when you read it. I'll go first.
I hate stroke peices. Its a personal thing for me, because what i DEEM a stroke peice is something where the characters hardly have any developement, hardly know one another, fuck generically and there is no emotional connection, or even any connection at all. A stroke peice will use simple means of describing the act, almost funny things, where as a love story tries to find artistic ways of describing the act.
So, "He filled me up thick as a phone pole, my butt stretched around his massive cock." vs. "I felt full, the thick girth of his cock stretching me until I thought i might break open with the intensity. I arched my body, wanting more, loving that 'too full' feeling and he let out a growl, one hand splaying over my belly to hold me still while he held onto his control, trying to regain his mind."
Please, realize, that as a writer who writes in the gay catagory more often then not, i'm curious to know what YOU guys thing, in particular, since i cater to you in a large way. (Well, straight females also get a lot of joy out of my writing, but i write it for the gay comunity, not the straight chicks.)
I am also not saying that the other style of writing is less then or not good or in any way intending insult. I just mean, i personally dislike it. I can not get turned on by that type of writing. I literally cringe when i hear the female vagina refured to as cunt, slit, hole, - i dunno why, i just dont like it. I cringe when i read passages like the one above referring to a cock as a phone pole. I dunno why, its personal. To me, that just is the farthest thing from arousing.
That's not to say non concent, hard, rough, intense quick, stories can't be wonderful. They can be, just not that style. I need it to be a more serious style for it to be arousing. Descriptive, flowing, but not 'funny' descriptive.
I dunno, this is my take on it. I hope i make a little sense. i'm curious to know how you guys feel personally. ALL of you, Gay, bi, male, female, tran - whatever, all of you, i'm curious how you feel about stories writen FOR our/this community. What really gets you hot n bothered! Strokes, or Love peices?
