Evening all. It was a good day here. Met some of my family in a smaller nearby town and had lunch at a nice pizzeria. Super large salad and three different large pizzas made in a brick wood fired pia stove. Delicious! Then a bowl of home made malted milk ice cream with walnuts, it was exceptionally good. Even better once I returned home Oreo climbed up into my chair and took a nap on my chest. Since she generally doesn't' do that I knew she was feeling punky. I'll be glad when she's healed up and back to her normal "kiss my ass" self.

Yesterday was pretty nice up until last night then I received a not unexpected death notification of an extended family member. She was a nice lady, elderly and terminal cancer. Now she's crossed over to join her husband. Nothing to be sad over just quiet contemplation.

Thank you but in this particular case there's no sadness, she lived a good life and was more then ready to go without any fears. That's a really beautiful thing to see in some older people and its obvious they enjoy all the more for living it that way. Its really something to reflect on when you see people making themselves miserable by being miserable. Just enjoy the moment, the day and beyond being sad is a tragic waste of opportunity.
Sorry...sometimes I get philosophical...I really should have been a clinical psychologist...

I wish we could all go that way. Yeah, it may sound strange, but to know you had a good life & not fear death? I always tried to get the kiddo to understand that death is what we live for. It happens no matter what, so make the best of your life; you can never live if you are afraid of dying. To quote a favorite movie, "You see?*Death comes to us all."

So, tnman, make a toast in her honor. Share her stories; who knows what adventures she may have had!

Azul, I burned the candle working dual and sometimes more jobs at the same time. The money seemed good on the front side but when I looked at overall expenditures and taxes it was surprisingly little in the end. The best of all worlds was simply working available overtime assignments. Here's hoping you find other options.

And I thought CJ was like my mom with the vitamins lol. I got some antibiotics from the doc. Hoping everything starts working soon.
