Good afternoon all. A day of meetings and meetings about meetings to schedule other meetings about meetings. Other than that, the sun broke through here and it's kind of nice. Hope everyone is moving smoothly through the day.

Dumpling - holy crap that's cold! The rain down here in CA was pretty impressive. Today's a day of blue skies and sun though so I'm soaking it up.

Morning all, albeit a rather late morning greeting. What's up with everyone? I've tried to be somewhat industrious given the seasonal toil this time of year does on my overall ambiance. I'm so looking forward to the return of spring.

Good morning! I got home from CJ's last night. Had a great couple of nights. Supposed to get some really bad weather here this weekend, so I'll probably make a grocery run later on just in case.

TN - winter can be tough on the mood. Here in California, though we're basically paradise on earth, when it rains it rains constantly for days on end and that can drag the mood down if you let it.

Starry - yeah, I love my job - work content, the technical and human challenges, the accomplishments that come with getting to play a small part in very large things (and cool things at that), but the hours can grind folks down.
As a consultant, we work on billable hours and it's easy for people to get caught in the "more money" trap, since the two are tied tightly together. I always mentor newer consultants that they have to decide for themselves how much is enough on a personal level and they have to learn to say "no" for their own sanity (and health and relationship and a whole bunch of other stuff).
