I was running a day care by day.. going to school at night and raising three kids.. ages 4, 2 and 6 months. I was also tracking my ex husbands where abouts.. he was usually found at his girlfriends house.

Eleven years ago, I was barely into my first year as a Police Dispatcher, learning more about the world than I cared.

I was a local cable TV sports color announcer and statistician, having the time of my life.

I was about halfway through my first year in my jazz band, getting my chops back and learning that I had forgotten a lot about music, but that I was getting back fast.

I was looking to get laid (and in that respect, some things never change)!

& a couple of nights a week I tutored adults in various subjects
So that they could get a job or an education.

I also helped refugees with english, & citizenship exams.

Come to think about it...

I had just been fired after Christmas, and couldn't get another job. I was about to go back to school as an act of desperation. By a tragic coincidence, I'm almost in the exact same position now. It didn't work as well I might have hoped.

KM, I missed something. What made you pick 11?

11 Years ago I was packing to move to a new city to start a job on March 1st. Then 3 days before moving, I got a different offer, changed the whole plan, went to work for 2 of the most inept bosses I've ever had, and outlasted them both by many years. Who knew you could work at one place for over 10 years in a row?

I was looking for a job, trying to get out of the house and on my own, but was an inactive venture. Can't very well be on my own at seven yrs old.
