So Al Gore isn't standing in 2004...

Condoleza Rice may be the first black and woman to be president.

Will fmr. NJ Gov. Tom Kean be her secretary of state?

He's more qualified for that post than head of the 9/11 commission.

Yes Texan, I was about to comment that with Condi we could kill two birds with one stone... I assume she'll handle it better than, say, Halle Berry...

Rex. Remember the remarks I made earlier in regards to Germany and then the EU members... Hillary's cut from the same cloth, the Uber-Uero-Ivory-Tower-Elite wanna be.

The New Re-invented Fully Liberal Cross-Dressing Algore? Alpha Gal?

He has no experience as an investigative lawyer, no defence knowledge, international affairs experience--zip, and he knows nothing of the workings of Intelligence circles. Maybe Kean is qualified for president but definitely not qualified to lead an investigative committee on the single most deadly disaster we've experienced.

I think Hillary is one of the most dangerous politicians in the US. She wrote the book on sleaze. I don't think she'll run in 2004, but I'd bet the bank she does in '08.

I'd love to see an election with Rice running for President against Hillary.

You forgot about someone...

No one has mentioned the Democratic parties 2000 Vice Presidential candidate Joseph Lieberman. With Gore out of the way, Lieberman is the next in line for the 2004 Democractic nomination for president. He has already announced that he will probably run and honestly, I think he would do a much better job then Gore, Clinton, Dubya, or anyone else at this time. Not to mention he would be the first Jewish president, and that would be interesting to see.

Condeleeza . . . YUK!!

As ruthless a woman as ever scared the Batty Baroness out of her cast iron underwear . . . a continuation of the present Fundamentalist Christian extremists . . . disguised as representing the long oppressed minorities . . . yes, in the quirks of U$ politics, it has a chance . . . woman and all . . . :)

But then Lieberman . . . given the situation in Israel this could be very interesting . . . a Jewish U$ President supporting Sharon in Israel against everybody . . . Fundamentalist Judaism United v Islam . . . the monotheistic religions used as the excuse to fight it out again . . . just like the Crusades.

. . . but does Lieberman have a Polish background?

As usual, your posts are long on imagination and rhetoric and completely void of facts.

Please tell me what evidence you have to support that Rice and Lieberman are "fundamentalists."

Remember the rules Donkey boy: Facts, facts, facts. Tough assignment.

Al Gore said he wouldn't be running for President in 2004.

Our politicians don't stand for office.

Put the bottles down.

Oh shit, I love the AV. Combing the desert... hilarious!

I'm not so sure that Gore has thrown in the towell for good, only time will tell for sure.

Rice has no natural constituencey, especially in her own party. She doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of being elected. Your top republican contenders for 2008 are Tom Ridge and Jeb Bush. I would expect Ridge to be our next VP just moments after Cheyney's heart explodes deep within a secure location.

Gore's not running cause he's being squeezed out of the money and because he's running 20 points behind Bush in current polls. Plus I think Gore is smart enough to see that whatever democrat loses in 2004 is tainted goods and he's waiting for 2008. So is Hillary.

The Democrats are sitting back now and looking for someone who can do a Barry Goldwater impersonation.

I agree, Rice doesn't have a chance. Ari Fleischer scares me---not because he'll be president---maybe he'll run for the House and quickly move up, he is about 40y.o. and from New York. There are plenty of Republicans that have slimey intentions but he routinely and successfully sells crap that is 25% true as the whole truth. Illinois Democrat up-and-comer Rahm Emanuel will move up the ranks quickly in the House. He was Clinton's senior advisor--so obviously a policy whiz and he can communicate. He'll immediately have Pelosi's ear. http://www.voteemanuel.com

Unfortunately I agree that arrows are pointing to JEB, I think Ridge is kinda stiff. Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb) can be an candidate that is anti-establishment (he's not in the BUSH or Falwell camp)---he's friends with McCain and usually has a reasonable and responsible approach. He is 54 y.o. and won reelection with 83% in NOV.

JEB would be better suited for presidency than GWB but he wouldn't win the general. I honestly think people are going to get Southern fatigue--maybe it's already started with Lott. People are starting to want balanced leaders--GWB will try to promote the slight shift and continue to prop Frist up.

When they decide Lott must step down--Frist will win because the GWB factor. McConnell will get the sympathy for Lott vote. Hagel will get McCain, Chafee, Ben Nighthorse, and Snowe to vote for him. You said recently--Powell could win the general election vote with ease, I agree. As much as JazzJim, Ishmael, Miles, and UB laud militaristic extreme rightwing, it's not going to stay. GWB is the last Reaganite. Being a leftist, the Repubs possibly shifting towards that Powell, Hagel and McCain camp both pleases me and frightens me in equal measures.

Watching you analyze politics is like watching a Merry-Go-Round operator handicap the Kentucky Derby.
