Though I did buy a duck doll yesterday- filled with an odd bead-like material that the Japanese seem to adore. Most Americans either love it or are completley creeped out by it.
I suppose it could be that duck...

The silly thing is, they actually ARE from China, originally. NZ imported them from China, and er, did things to them (pre days of GM, so just normal kind of stuff, dont worry), then to distinguish them from the originals and to remind people that they came from NZ, changed the name to Kiwifruit.

Of course, internationally, they soon became known as Kiwis. (Which is actually a small flightless brown bird, but never mind.)

So technically, if you answered China, you would be right. But the suggested answer is probably New Zealand.
