Come on Fungi, more people then just Phoenix are curious as to what your name means.

The current AV though, I'm betting that's from LOTR, which was filmed in NZ.

No bet taken. If you check out the thread on AVs, I confess (freely, I might add) that I simply grabbed a bit off my desktop wallpaper at the time, which was a shot out of Fellowship Of The Rings. It's kinda dark and foreboding, and, well, that's me! :p

As for the nickname, I've explained it more than once on here. Of course, finding an explanation might be a challenge -- I talk lots! :D I'll give you a clue though: it has somewhat to do with my rather dubious sense of humour...

Don't get through all the threads here. Been off board quite a bit lately.
You- a dubious sense of humor? Perish the thought!
Better a bit odd then completely "normal" because normal people are normally borning.

Trust: Where does it begin, where does it end?

Well, it begins with "T", and ends with "t". Kinda spookey, that!

Least there aren't three "t"s in there. Then might sound like "Thee thee thee" which is not appropriate.
(for those who are lost- read Anthony's Apprentice Adept series)
Sorry, had to make the corrilation.

"How do you feel about your body?" -- er, with my hands?

OOC: still cant' find that answer Mr.Fun. (Will stop boring you with my posts.)

Well... you already guessed some of it. It's all about my sense of humour (yes, I have one. Really. Somewhere.)

The Fungi bit is because Ug! is generally too short for most systems, so I needed to extend it somewhat. I added the Fungi because I hate mushrooms. Also, it's a really old, silly, lame (ah, that's my sense of humour!) play on words for "fun guy". Get it? Get it? Gone? Thought so.

Ug? Well... with initials B.C. that correspond to the name of the newspaper comic strip based around the life and times of a man who rides a stone wheel... what else can I say?

Wow, now I even know how to pronounce it!
Not that you asked but -- mine I made up when I was 11, as my nom de plume for when I became a famous writer. Figured (since I was planning to write publicly and extensively here,) might as well go ahead and use it :/ Homage to an 11 year old who already felt like that mythical bird, with plans to rise from the ashes -- which should give you some idea what my childhood was like. The stone: both a translation of a piece of my last name and another favored image. Wanted to be hard as stone.
Here's to 11 year olds with dreams. :rose:

Wow, now I know too.
PS- I understand having a craptacular child hood *shudders* that I remember far to well. But in the future you'll be a better adult and parent for it by refusing to let similar things happen to your kids.

*tosses around a bottle of wine*
Here's to futures better then the past!

I'll drink to that!

Two kids, both darling. My daughter nicknamed her brother Chuckleberry as a baby because he laughed so much. She wrote happy birthday for him on the 'magical' stone he gave me for my birthday.

Damn, why didn't I think of that one! That got a good laugh, Quint!

Preaching to the Perverted . . .

Amen!!

Creating a Dom......

Not a comment really, but I keep hearing and seeing the opening credits to The Six Million Dollar Man.

Really? I had more in mind Frankenstein's Monster...

"It's alive! Alive!"

"marked improvment on the violin" -- next, we work on spelling and grammar.

"It's alive! Alive!"

And my take was: "Creating a dom...using everyday items that can be found in your pantry!" by Martha Stewart.

Is that anything like my "Instant Submissive" (just add water)?
