Size does matter

What I find interesting is how reductive this preoccupation is... That when contemplating dick preference, a woman would ONLY be thinking about its length. :ROFLMAO:

What about girth? Shape? How smooth or veiny it is? Does it have any weird bends in it? And what about the head shape? And testicle size and tightness? Couldn't these also matter? C'mon guys... If you want to obsess on all-things penis related, there's a whole bunch of other things you're leaving out.

For guys to obsess on just this one dimension (quite literally) reveals just how clueless most guys are.

I think guys who are shitty lovers will blame their partner being unsatisfied on her preference for a bigger dick, instead of blaming the guy the dick is attached to.
It is funny... when a woman expresses a preference for a circumcised or a bigger dick, guys come completely unwound. They stomp their feet, whine, and even shame the woman for her preferences.

Since pretty much forever, men have openly fetishized big breasts. And they did this without caring one iota about how it made small breasted women feel. And this was pervasive throughout our culture and entertainment. During the 70's and 80's, pretty much every sitcom and variety show had scenes where men were reduced to wide-eyed, blathering idiots the moment a very large breasted woman walked into the scene, with double entendres soon to follow. Heck, Benny Hill pretty much based his entire British variety show on this premise. Did the writers/ producers of these shows care about causing body insecurity among small breasted women? Of course not. And how have small-breasted women generally handled this slight? ....Usually with little more than an eye roll.

But if a woman says, "sure! I prefer big dicks...." guys lose their shit.

Men (some, anway) are such wimps.🤣😂🤣

It is reductive. My sense is maybe because men aren't really all that interested in learning what a woman wants so much as they want to assuage this one insecurity. A man can convince himself that he could be a better lover if only she were more open or would help him figure out what she wants. He can explain away different preferences in physical appearance. But penis size (length and girth) is unalterable and somehow seen as the key measure of adequacy. I think in the back of the minds of insecure men is the notion that they are sexually inadequate and there is nothing they can do about it. They'd rather fool themselves or ask women to fool them than even face the possibility.

Part of the double-standard always was the latitude men had to fetishize women's bodies while being hyper sensitive to it being the other way around. Much of what maddens men in modern society is that they have lost some of the power of the patriarchy. There are indeed examples of women being unkind with the power we have reclaimed. That isn't ideal, but it comes with equality. Everyone has the right to be a dickhead I suppose. It just bothers men that we have that right now too.

I will say that in the popular culture that you referenced I feel like big breasted women got a double whammy. Not only were they fetishized for their looks, but their look was made synonymous with being an airhead. And not covering up or playing down their generous endowment was associated with a moral failing of some kind. I think a lot of that came from jealousy - from men and less endowed women. Seriously, if you see a traditionally svelte model body versus a woman with big boobs and womanly hips in the exact same bikini (aside from the cup size) and could listen in on the subtle comments they are very different.

Of course it matters. Maybe not as much as some people think and not bigger is better to the nth degree. There is such a thing as too big just as there is such a thing as too small. And those parameters are different for each woman. But to pretend that a 1" erect micro penis is qualitatively indistinguishable for a 8" thick cock is ridiculous.

Moreover the question of whether it matters is, by definition, an isolated question implying a reference point of all other things being equal. As such the specific question has nothing to do with the man the penis is attached to including his skill in using it. Obviously when it comes to choosing a sexual partner there other things that matter as much or more, but that has nothing to do with the specific question.

The amount of energy that we put into deflecting the question is proof positive that it does matter. You can say that it doesn't matter if it is attached to a douche bag or what matters most is how he uses it. Those are true statements, but they don't answer the question. They intentionally dodge the question which tells you that the correct answer is yes. It is like your aunt asking if you enjoyed the Thanksgiving turkey and you say the potatoes were excellent - obviously you are avoiding the question and not fooling anybody. It is only logical to infer that you are avoiding the question to avoid giving an unfavourable or dishonest answer.

Finally, as I said every woman has their preference. Do you know what is not at all relevant to any woman's preference? The average penis size. It may be that for some women 5.5" is there perfect size, but that isn't because it is the average. Likewise if I prefer larger ones of 8"-10" it isn't relevant to my preference that cocks of that size are relatively rare.
Bravo Policywank! I agree wholeheartedly! I'm a Cocksucker and I prefer to be throat fucked by a larger than average size cock! I LOVE the thrillingly erotic sensation of feeling my throat being distended and stretched to capacity by a very big cock. I like NOT being in control!! I love having my head firmly held as a very thick cock is being forced down my throat and being thrust repeatedly all the way down my throat . I enjoy the experience of being aggressively throat fucked !

What if a dick is 20% longer than average but 80% uglier than average? What then?

Again... reductive.

Very well said... Thankfully for every ten Chrissy's from Three's Company (portrayed as a buxom airhead) there were at least one or two busty blondes who were smart and confident and often made aggressive, toxic men the brunt of the joke. Jennifer Marlowe (Loni Anderson in WKRP in Cincinnati) and Doralee Rhoads (Dolly Parton in Nine To Five) being just two great examples.

Yes those were great characters. I think that sort of stereotyping and open mockery of the buxom blond that existed during and before their era has evolved into giving those characters more depth.

Although I think that popular culture still has a difficult time truly embracing the buxom woman's latitude to dress the way she wants and present herself to the world the way she wants without judgment. It seems that we still aren't quite ready for her to portray a serious character unless she actively dresses down.

I’ve only met one couple where the woman openly stated dissatisfaction with the size of her man’s cock. They tried swinging with a couple where the guy had an above average cock and it lead to a permanent breakup. Most women I’ve know are happy with penis size if the relationship is good, if not they go looking for issues.

I think that women generally prioritize factors other than cock size in choosing a long-term mate. And to the extent that it is a factor it is probably not as important and women's preferences not as extreme as most men imagine.

BUT the fact that a wife doesn't openly express dissatisfaction with the size of her man's cock is close to irrelevant. It is such a sensitive topic for guys that very few women would openly admit it was an issue even if it was.

This reminds me of the old "I haven't heard any complaints" comment from guys. If a guy is a lousy lover, why would a woman complain about it? It's hurtful, it won't change anything and it is highly likely to invite a nasty response. If a guy is a lousy lover we just say nothing and don't go back.

I think strange ugly cocks CAN be sexy. Crazy shapes, small big whatever, just not gross.
You're missing the point.

I'm saying that it's overly simplistic to assume that dick length and girth are the only thing that matters as it pertains to penis preferences. That some women might prefer a circumcised penis with a gentle upward curve and of uniform girth to an oddly shaped, uncircumcised and bent one that is slightly, or maybe even considerably longer. Just sayin'

As I've said before, it's hard imagining a women saying to her girlfriend,,,

"Jim is great - almost perfect! He's good looking, kind, makes me laugh.. and he shares my values regarding family. But even though he's an exciting and attentive lover who often makes me cum, his dick is 1/2" shorter than my favorite length. So I think I'll keep looking."

I would half expect that at this point her girlfriend would tweak her nose and say, WTF is wrong with you!?

Alright! I think I just basically agreed. Lol

I am in a long-term monogamous marriage. My wife was not straightforward with me that my cock was inadequate in providing her orgasms until we’d been together many years and I was asking her to dominate me. She finally told me that she far preferred my oral worship and her vibrator. So, I agree, her “not complaining “ does not mean his cock satisfies her.

Is it your dick specifically, or any dick that is inadequate for providing her orgasms?

Surely you have heard that MANY woman orgasm only from clitoral stimulation and not from penetration. ..This is NOT that unusual.

And if your dick is inadequate because of its size, then why not just buy a dildo that meets her size preferences? Sometimes my wife simply isn't in the mood for my extraordinary girth and will ask that I instead use her much slimmer dildo on her. I then enjoy my role of finding the perfect angle, rhythm and depth (def. not all the way in) that gets her off... Pretty simple!! Sometimes we'll then just drift off to sleep, and sometime she'll encourage me to finish by inviting me to masturbate onto her feet or breasts...

The point being.... we found a solution to my having a less-than-perfect size dick.

C'mon people.... this isn't that difficult. There are always work-arounds...

“complaints”? If I ever had intimate contact with a guy who had a notably small cock, I would not complain, because there would be no point. He can’t ‘fix’ the problem. Some other aspects of being “a lousy lover” can be changed, though.

Exactly. Even if the circumstance is conducive to constructive direction positioning it as a "complaint" isn't going to help.
