It's nice to see my little experiment worked

All I had to do was start a thread about TOS violations & the usual suspects rush to the defense of the GB's "protected class."

Time will tell if the TOS violators are banned.

Would those who haven't been banned and told to go away be what you are referring to as the "protected class"? If so, more power to them--and more Laurel zapping to the previously banned.

Perfect analogy to the innumerable times posters who exactly quote another poster's rule violating words (to point that out) have been banned, but the actual author of the rule offending words isn't; plus their original post is left up for all to read, never removed. Making clear that what the poster quoted wasn't a violation, but who the quoter is is what subjectively offends the one who bans.

It used to be that the owners' supporters would insist that the only time posters were banned was because they clearly violated the clear and concise posted rules. Because the owners (as one owner used to frequently exhalt herself) were fair and honest and never subjectively banned posters.

It's finally nice to see almost all, no matter what side they post from, accept that use of the banhammer is now mostly a matter of the subjectiveness of the owners, not actual compliance with the rules.

Btw: the use of the "p" word is almost always ignorantly used on this Board and in public, like in the current threads here and in the meat world reporting on Epstein. That word means something specifically. It's easy to tell the ignorant ones by how they misuse it constantly.

Crazier still, a literary "Free Speech" discussion of the proper use of that word is bannable on this Board, but not the posters who continue to misuse it when they discuss and/or accuse others of being one, which is undeniably against the clearly posted rules.

I fully understand your native weakness to invoke Laurel's name to try to illegitimately lend strength to your impotent, purely personal subjective stance. After all, you do you all. the. time.

But Laurel has clearly stated numerous times she doesn't "perma-ban" people, that she bans usernames, and that as long as a new username obeys the rules, they're free to post here. Of course, Laurel being Laurel, she's reneged on that a number of times when it's clear she subjectively doesn't like the person, too.

So hey, afterall, you and Laurel do have bullshitness in common.
