Wondering if others have experienced really poor quality moderators during their lit journey.
Two days ago i was banned by @Bama1963 when I reported an abuser who in turn was banned based upon the evidence I had provided.
It seems I broke a rule with the method I used which I would have offered an apology for until @Bama1963 told me I was as bad as the abuser I reported and that I would be banned.
To say I was stunned at his reaction is an understatement. He was of the opinion that my actions (entrapping an abuser) were just as bad as a guy offering pictures of his ex wife’s friend for guys to stroke to without her knowledge.
Good moderation would have seen me thanked for helping then given a warning and guidance on better ways to handle such matters.
Instead I got banned.
Now I’m not really bothered about the ban as I will use old profiles until i eventually get round to creating a new one but I do bother that they decided to ban someone who was on their side in trying to keep lit as safe as possible.
I have raised the issue of lack of policing in this particular room only to be subjected to personal abuse by moderators and administrators alike who don’t seem to care it is happening regularly and in the open.
Despite our differences of opinion I continued to help them and have seen 2 others banned recently.
One handled professionally and with gratitude by @ditzylildoll the other by @EarthWolf
Earthwolf decided that some guy sharing pics of his wife and niece (automatic ban for niece) without her knowledge did not even warrant getting kicked from the room never mind a ban. Thankfully I still had the evidence and others overruled him and the perpetrator was eventually banned.
I just don’t get their apparent lack of care and compassion for the ladies being abused and why instead they take issue with someone trying to help them.
Would be interesting to hear others experiences.
p.s. I still have screenshots of all my conversations including the one with Bama1963 to back up my comments should anyone be interested.
