Wow! My "collection" is somewhat sorted by fabric type, material and weight, but I am not a quilter. I was oblivious to "fat quarters" for decades until a friend, a quilter, sent me off to get a specific one at the quilt shop near me. I was shocked! LOL

someplace - I just noticed that the inside pockets are like the outside. I really like the pockets. That keeps things so organized. I like purses like that... and you are one talented woman. I wish I could make some thing like that ...

Nah, I was picturing a series of buttons on the inside so you could move the attach point up and down, they slide through slits near the zipper and from the outside nobody knows they can be buttoned at different "lengths"

Besides, too many zippers might make Pete nervous.

Wouldn't be strong enough. I use a cloth bag a lot like this one to haul work papers in and the straps are pulling out even though they were stitched in and reinforced. Just buttons alone wouldn't allow much weight to be hauled at all.

I like the thinner straps because they fit my hand better. I'd like them shorter though.

Mine has a striped lining also satin.

There have been times where I have thought twice about buying a purse because I was uncertain about the lining.

Yes to all of the above! I've got someone I'm making some clothes for as soon as she picks out the fabric.

I wish all of my fabric related areas were this neat. (This took me all day Saturday to do, what with moving furniture and all. Appreciate this, because it may not always look like this)

You can't see it, but there's a navy box in the top center of the drawing table that is overflowing with Japanese silk bolt ends from a place that makes high end neck ties. I have big plans for that box! (purse linings and jewelry pouches)

The white box w/clear sides on top of the white bookcase is full of stuff for a project for the green man. I haven't forgotten.

Yes those are 2 small bookcases and a set of stackable drawers filled with more fabric behind where I sit at the machine.

The big shopping bag under the table is for my "scraps."

This is the area you saw in a bit of the purse picture. It *used* to look like the the fabric case I organized this weekend, but this is how it is after I tried in vain to find a flashy fabric to line this newest tote.

There are three bookcases lining a hallway that are filled with boxes of supplies and fat quarters by color family plus books. There is also the former 'sewing room' that is now for storage plus it has two long tables set up for cutting out fabric.

I am trying to ignore the pile of fabric sitting on my sofa. It's been there since Saturday and I have to find a home for it. I just don't know where.
